Dr Gault is fine is you already have a diagnosis and just need monitoring. Would not go to him to discover or treat a serious issue. He's pleasant and friendly--but did not seem motivated to really take care of his patients. The last time I was in his office he said he was "good" with systolic blood pressure that was averaging 180. His nurse (who I always appreciate as being the backbone of every good office) was wonderful when others were around, but just nasty when she was by herself. On the plus side, the front desk people are professional.
Very disappointed that I decided to be honest with this group and let them know that my husband tested positive for Covid last week. I had an appointment with Dr. Shah for Friday and decided to do the right thing and reschedule my appointment to later this month as I did have some mild symptoms, I.e. a fever and chills. To my surprise I was told I would have to present a negative Covid test in order to be seen in their office?I am happy to change this review once someone revisits the policy and allows individuals to seek medical attention without the requirement of a negative Covid test. Is this being required by everyone to see a doctor in the office? Or only those who honestly disclose that they have potentially had it. Don't federal regulations protect patients from physicians refusing to treat them? Again, stick to the CDC guidelines, 14 days of quarantine. Rescheduling to 14 days later would make more sense.
Love Dr. Gault!!
Dr. Frumin is extremely knowledgeable and thorough. He takes the time to explain procedures and anything related to your heart health. He is very patient and has a calming demeanor. I know that I am in good hands with his expertise.
I had issues with this group in the past. Since Ive written bad reviews for a number of issues...like bad staff and a few problems with my Doctor. I wanted to say there was a lot of changes with staff and etc., I wanted to write a positive review because of these positive changes.Dr. Shah is a compassionate Doctor and I’m glad I stayed with this practice and Doctor.
I should have read the reviews. Dr Masters is one of the BEST doctors I have ever seen and THE best cardiologist ever. I wish I could say the same for his office assistant that filters his calls. She is the WORST I have ever dealt with. It mirrors the other reviews. Last year I needed my heart medication when it was out of refills and after leaving 10 messages I finally had to drive to the office crying while my heart acted up. I had a hard time scheduling more appointments after that experience and eventually forgot. When it came time to schedule new refills I called and left all my information.. no call back. I call again. No call back. I have CVS request it, no response. I hit the doctors line on the voicemail just to reach someone and they said “you haven’t been in for a year so we can’t refill.” I said, “no one called me back and told me that or I would have rescheduled. They apologized and said they would have her take care of it after they scheduled my appointment. Then I waited for hours with my heart in AFIB. I call the pharmacy, no prescription. I have to go through every line in the office and they said they will get it in. His assistant needs to be fired. She is rude on top of lazy. She is the worst assistant and is probably taking advantage of him because he is honestly the best doctor. Something needs to change with the phone system 😭 Sarah at the front ended up taking care of it for me and it wasn’t her task ( she didn’t say that because she is professional, but she’s reception). She is the ONLY one I would keep aside from amazing Masters.
I’m a big fan of Dr. Masters. Great doctor and seems like he would be a good dude to have a beer with....
I recommend Dr. Shah. He was very personable, knowledgable, and listened to my concerns carefully.
They have always been extremely helpful. Have no complaints.
Great doctor, kind and sincere. If you are lucky enough to go to him you will find his intentions are 100%
Dr. Lamont took care of my Nonna. She hadsevere heart failure and multiple heart attacks before she saw him; her doctors weren’t helping anymore and she was ending up in the ER or hospital all the time. He was able to get the medications optimized and literally gave her years of quality life allowing her to laugh, love and enjoy her family. She passed in her sleep around Christmas but we are so thankful that Dr. Lamont and his group (and staff) worked so diligently and with such dignity and caring to give her those extra years that her doctor said she didn’t have. The world is a better place with Dr. Lamont.BTW, he is the recent past chief of staff at Saddleback Memorial hospital which has been designated a top 50 hospital in the country for years. That’s the top 1% of all hospitals. We came down from San Pedro to see him. ‘Nuff said.
Dr. Melfold is very good, front desk staff is horrible with lots of attitude. You will have problem in getting timely appointment and then they will cancel it with little or no notice. Give them a big ZERO for service! If I cant see the doctor what difference it makes if doctor is good or not.
Very caring and through. I appreciated it very much.
Dr. Howard Frumin a cardiologist who specialty is electricity within the heart did a great work as my surgeon. Dr. Frumin spoke with me explaining to me with a diagram of the heart what he suspected the event that was taking place. He performed his own tests and used the information from my other physicians. To identify what was happening to my heart. He was patient and explained to me the choices in treatment options available for this condition. We discussed many of the concerns I had and he

We discussed many of the concerns I had and he was able to provide the information to a non-medical trained person in a way which was dignified and thorough. He was informative and easy to speak with in his office and working with his staff. At the hospital all worked together in a focused effort to make sure I was comfortable. After all, it is my heart and that can really raise your anxiety level. Arriving the morning of the procedure Dr. Frumin and his team where so relaxed and yet very focused on my well being both the physical and the psychological. Each team member went about their tasks with care and compassion. Dr. Frumin checked with me, and I felt very well cared for and confident in his surgical skills. All went great. After the procedure was over the doctor provided my family an update on the how well the procedure went. When I was fully awake Dr. Frumin spoke with me also. I am so glad to have been able to have Dr. Frumin perform this surgery. He has improved my well being so much. I can know get back to the ocean and my SUP board, my hikes and my golf game too. So much better than before. All because Dr. Frumin is well informed, skilled and able to communicate effectively and efficiently about why this procedure was so beneficial to me. I would urge you to relay on Dr. Frumin if you are lucky enough to have him care for your heart.

I went to this group when I was told by the office that they were PPO providers. I saw Dr. Malford who was a nice enough fellow. My problem is with their front office and the fact that Dr. Malford was NOT a PPO provider and they billed my insurance as an out of network doctor. This was 2 years ago. There was a large copayment due. I should have had zero copay since I had met my deductible and annual maximum. After multiple conversations with the office manager, she refused to negotiate or accept PPO payment as a PPO provider. I have been sent to a collection agency and it has adversely affected my credit score. Do not believe what they tell you until it is preauthorized because the front office manager is a jaded, ruthless, unsavory heartless person.
I have been going to Dr. Lamont for about 10 years... I have always had calls returned, have had them squeeze me in and I love his nurse, I appreciate the care they provide me with.
While temporarily residing in this Orange County, California area, I was hospitalized twice and fortunate enough to be cared for by Dr. Frumin and other members of his cardiology group. I had excellent care with very quick responses to both my phone calls and appointment needs. Also an appointment with Dr. Frumin was very informative since he takes time to fully explain to you your condition and possible solutions. I highly recommend Dr Howard Frumin and the South Orange County Cardiology Group
