List of Jan Mccann,Dpm's Reviews
I had a very bad sprain/strain, possible hairline fracture on a foot that had fractured when I was 13/14, I'm now early 30s. At the time I was put in a walking boot. This time, I tried an ace bandage wrap, but it just didn't feel secure as the foot was still wobbly. I then used a lace up brace, which was highly uncomfortable as it only held my foot from wobbling when tied up tight, & actually caused loss of circulation to the point of part of my skin going necrotic, toes going numb. It said online to keep light necrotic tissue bandaged with moisture so I did so for a couple days before my appt with this Dr. Mccan, I used neosporin & aquaphor covered with a bandaid to soften the skin. I then moved onto a walking boot like I did so many years ago when this foot was first injured, it definitely made the foot feel more secure. My appt with the Dr was a little odd as I was the youngest person in the waiting room, by at least half my age. The only good thing I got out of this appt was him telling me to lose the boot, and take the bandaid off as the necrotic tissue would fall off. It actually did peel off like a scab in a few days. Then I worked on more foot mobility as at the time, I couldn't even point my toe or turn my foot out, which is second nature as a former dancer. I have regained most mobility with a few cracking noises but nothing severe. He had prescribed PT, but as a former dancer, I do know how to get flexibility in the foot. The wisest advice he gave me was lose the boot and let the necrotic tissue fall off. After telling me to do PT, came an odd part. He told me to come see him in 2 weeks after PT to "see id I've been a good girl" - mind you, youngest in his office by far, and I look younger than I am. The other issue I've always had are ingrown toenails. I had cut them short so he really couldn't do much then, but when they grew longer, he could perform the operation to fix it. In the meantime he said he could "drill down the rough bits" and proceeded to grab a drill off this rolling cart. Was it clean? NO. It was just sitting there covered in other peoples toe dust, god knows if they had a fungal infection, hope not. So he proceeds to drill down my nails and ended up DRILLING MY SKIN. Within that 2 week period of having a secondary appt, I regained mobility, canceled that 2nd appt he wanted. I never want to go there again. Tiny waiting room, everyone has walkers, canes, crutches, walking boots. Barely any seats for anyone nor walking room in that waiting room. That drill he used, totally not sanitized, cut my toe skin, and made that uncomfortable comment "see if you've been a good girl". Will not return to his office for any reason. I saw he had a lot of positive reviews, and the only good advice he gave me was get out of the walking boot and PT (which I just did my own). WILL NOT RETURN.
I had a very nice experience Dr. McCann. The office staff was kind, and he was friendly, efficient and knows his stuff. His recommendations for foot care were appreciated and well-taken.
I visited Dr. McCann for the first time today to deal with nasty callouses on both feet. I was amazed at how quickly, painlessly, and effectively he worked his magic. The best part is the discomfort I had when I walked in was completely gone in a matter of about 10 minutes. He recommended that I return every 3 months for follow up treatment which I will gladly do. I'm very happy with his friendly demeanor along with the outcome. His 5-star review is well deserved.
So impressed as a new patient to Dr. McCann. He was gracious and asked questions while ensuring he answered my questions. Excellent service and front office was equally as kind. Office is clean and well kept. Definitely recommend as he is most professional!
He appeared nice enough but back office is terrible. Went in on a Monday for an ingrown toenail. He looked at it for 2 minutes and said it would have to be removed. He said he would get insurance approval which would take 2-3 days. They were supposed to notify me. After not hearing from for 10 days, I called them. I was placed on hold for 20 minutes and finally hung up. Never heard from them again! I have since switched Podiatrists!
Girls up front didn't submit for my home care PT while I have a broken leg , they kept resubmitting the same claim and it was for out PT not at home . The Dr was supposed to do a peer to Peer review that I called three times as they were not responding to . Finally spoke to Dr. Jan and all he could do was apologize. The Peer to peer was never responded to at all or on time and the insurance closed my claim. I can't walk and no one cares . No action to help . Told me to call the insurance and just appeal myself. I literally fell through the front desks and the doctors cracks and I can't drive to PT because I have a stick shift and my leg and foot are completely atrophied and I can't put any weight on it yet . I only had two sessions of home PT and two sessions of OT no one ever came back . I need to walk it's been since 8-14th I broke my leg and I have been dumped by everyone with no support . Sad , Dr Jan's excuse is that they don't have too much experience with my insurance . If it was me and it happened to my patient I would be calling and advocating for the patient . Even my social worker helped me get more help . They didn't even want to give me a boot or a cast at the beginning . Had to go back there because any time my cats walked on me or jumped up my bone would move on me and I would scream in severe pain . Think they should not take insurances that they are not fond of of we are gonna not be treated with the level of care that is expected to get back to full health and function . Another sad disappointment by yet another doctor I trusted . Afraid to go back here . I thought they actually cared about me . Good luck to me figuring how to get home PT , get any advocacy and walk again. I haven't worked for forever and thanks to you I won't work for a while still and I really need to work due to Covid the spa and beauty industry was closed three times and I lost my business .land haven't worked for twenty one months . Way to loose my trust . Making people suffer more instead of healing them . If you have Cal Optima or Monarch Care save your self the time go somewhere else so you can actually get complete care and heal up fast ! Place was all Empty promises .
Hardly any wait time, he has wonderful time management!!! I love that a doctor considers my time is valuable too! He is personable and down to earth and also listens to what is wrong! Great Doc!!
Dr. Mccann is wonderful. Has really helped me! friendly and personable. His staff is also very sweet
f I could give Dr. McCann more than 5 stars I would. I am so beyond happy I went to him! He is one of the most patient/ caring doctors I've ever had. I was extremely scared to have the surgery, but after speaking with Dr. McCann I felt totally comfortable. The first week after my bunion surgery, I was in a lot of pain and he said to call anytime I had questions regarding the surgery. Anytime I'd called, he'd pick up his phone no matter what time or day it was. I've never had a doctor be as reliable as him. What I really loved is the fact he didn't rush the healing process either. He wanted to make sure I was 100% okay to get back on my feet again. I highly recommend going him. You won't regret it! :)
What an amazing doctor Dr. Jan McCann is!!! He has helped me in tremendous ways AND he just performed surgery on my husband's foot and opened up his office for us at 6am on a Saturday to help my husband manage his pain!! Unheard of now a days! He truly cares for his patients!!! I cannot thank him enough for helping us through a tough situation! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Jan McCann

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
