Joan Sy's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Sy is competent but her office staff is terrible. Make sure you pay and keep your receipts. Don't be surprised if you get billed multiple times and told insurance doesn't pay. It's all about the money $

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Sy for years. At first it was great going to her, front desk wasn't bad and she genuinely seemed to care about her patients. But the front desk ladies are terrible, insensitive, and always have a nasty attitude. They should definitely not be in the customer service industry. And Dr. Sy now seems only interested in money and not the well being of the patients anymore. Charging for a zoom office visit of 20 minutes and the $25 per page to be filled out by her, ends up being very expensive, especially because insurance will not pay for the $25 per page fee. She has lost all her bedside manners, lacks the ability to genuinely care and be present with the patient. Sad to say we will never be returning after being treated so poorly. Would not recommend unless you are a fan of that kind of treatment.

Overtests. Bedside manner could be vastly improved. If there a re 'bad' results on bloodwork, the way the information is delivered is curt, emotionless, and scary. Saw her recently for the last time. Will search for a more compassionate doctor.

Best doctor I have ever had! Thanks to the many efforts by my amazing & truly wonderful doctor to set me on track with my nutrition and lifestyle, my arthritis and inflammation have noticeably improved and I just keep getting better! Frankly, I don't think I will be needing any Naproxen anymore, and the hips have vastly improved, so I won't be doing the surgery. These encouraging results for my arthritis have fueled my ambition, so my next project is to heal my thyroid! I'll let you know how it goes. :)

My health and life outlook were in terribly bad shape when I first walked into Dr Sy's office, but I was met with a brilliant and supportive doctor who genuinely cares! In the 3 years since our first meeting, I have made vast improvements in my health and outlook on life! Dr Sy has literally been a life saver!

Under Dr Sy's care, I just keep getting better and better! Dr Sy helped me create a plan to achieve my health objectives and I've learned a lot about how to heal myself. I'm not the most disciplined patient, but if I stick to the plan, I seem to do much better. I'm off all the medications I was dependent on except the thyroid pill for my Hashimoto's Hypothyroid, my fitness has improved, and the dark circles under my eyes have disappeared! Dr Sy has given me back control over my health, and I am feeling much better!

I have been going to Dr. Sy for about two years now. I see her for Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy. Dr. Sy has a special gift when it comes to this therapy. She is very intuitive and has the ability to sense the needs of your body. This realization did not come from the first session with her but grew over time. Trusting her and her treatments. We all have specialties and I feel OMT is hers. The staff is professional and personable and will help you with your questions and needs. All in all a great experience for me.

I am overdue for my check-in, but Rome wasn't built in a day & I was in terribly bad shape. It's been almost 2 years since I first saw Dr.Joan Sy. This entire time, Dr Sy & her staff have methodically tackled my numerous health issues and empowered me with unwavering medical support. I've pretty much followed every recommendation, and it's paying off! People who haven't seen me in awhile notice a difference and I'm grateful. Dr Sy's expertise, dedication & compassion along with her wonderful staff have been my stalwart of support & strength!

Great provider. She takes her time to get to know you and your habits to provide the best possible advice. She also schedules a comprehensive lab test so she can figure out in which areas you need to make improvements: e.g. take some supplements, add more exercise, or improve nutrition. A really good holistically-minded care provider.

Really good doctor. Been going to her for over 7 years. Never thought she was listing, but she is savant and a healer. She sees what needs to be healed. I recently got really horribly ill internally . I went to her, she ran test and worked month and months with me saving me from sever chronic sickness. Much thanks to Dr Sy and her staff!
