I have been a patient of OCWM Group since 1990. Last week Dr. Lam was on call and delivered my grandson. He was delivered after 2 hours of her using suction on his head. It was horrifying. All of the blood in his tiny helpless body ended up on the top of his head. He was lifeless when delivered. NICU team saved his life. He spent 7 days in NICU. A perfectly healthy full term baby that should have been delivered via c-section. Instead she put his life in a completely unnecessary risk. I have terminated my 29 year relationship with this group.

Dr Kim Lam is extremely ignorant of basic gynecological issues; after being released from the ER with findings of a large complex hemorrhagic cyst in my ovary I was instructed to find a Dr to remove it quickly. Shockingly, Dr Kim Lam told me to simply wait until it went away even though it is physically impossible with that type of cyst. With internal hemorrhaging and extreme pain I was getting worse by the day; she recommended melatonin (why?) and coldly told me to not be dramatic. As soon as I left her office I searched for a capable Dr and thankfully was in surgery to remove it within a few days. Bottom line, she is ignorant of basic gynecological issues and extremely cold. I would have bled to death from the eventual rupture if I'd listened to her terrible advice. Please beware.

This physician was not comforting at all. She laughs if she feels the questions you are asking are comical. She made me feel that she didn't take my seriously as a patient. I felt very judged and as if she felt I was not competent.

Dr. Lam has been my OBGYN now for almost 2 years through my first pregnancy and now my second. She is so patient, kind and I can go to her for anything. Plus she has a sense of humor while being a great coach! Her nursing staff is always available and their medical portal makes them accessible at all times.When in the office, I've never waited more than 20 minutes for my appointment and often times am taken early. The office staff is really friendly and helpful. Plus so nice they are attached to Saddleback hospital. I'm really glad I've chosen to start my family with OC Women's Medical group and Dr Lam as my primary physician.

She didn't listen to my comments or concerns. Didn't respond through the patient portal. It was clear that I was just a number to her.
