Dr Coulson is AMAZING. so kind and patient. I love that he is all about the vaccines! Great doctor would definitely recommend to everyone!
Dr. Coulson spent time with my kids and the appointments weren't rushed. He addressed our concerns and treated them like his own. The front office was welcoming and back office assistants were very kind and patient. Thank you for a wonderful visit!
Switched Pediatricians after Concerns Dismissed Our experience with Dr. Coulson was extremely disappointing and frustrating. For several years I raised concerns about a noticeable bulge in my son’s groin. Each time, I was told it was nothing to be concerned about and that it would resolve on its own. As soon as we switched pediatricians, our new doctor immediately recognized the hernia and referred us to a urologist who confirmed it, and said surgery was necessary. Unacceptable that this was repeatedly brought up and dismissed. There were other instances where I felt my concerns were dismissed. When I brought up digestive issues my son was experiencing, along with a stool test that showed significant dysbiosis, I was met with defensiveness and dismissiveness rather than thoughtful discussion or guidance. Similarly, when I asked about spacing out vaccines, the response was combative instead of collaborative. As a parent, I want a pediatrician who will listen take my concerns seriously, not be dismissive and combative.
He has been our family pediatrician for years! He has been with our family since he was fresh out of residency. He saw my younger brother now 20 and now with my own children. I chose him based on my mother’s recommendation. And it’s been great over the years.
Dr. Coulson has been such a helpful and reliable resource for our first child. With every visit I have a bunch of questions and he always answers them all and puts my worries at ease. My daughter recently had a serious infection and he was able to prescribe the right antibiotics that she is not resistant to. We feel confident in his care.
The best doctor you can find Dr. Coulson is down-to-earth and always exceeds my expectations each appointment I have with him. It is really easy getting along with him because of how caring and dedicated he truly is with his patients, and I leave that office satisfied knowing a positive outcome was made in my life that day. Even as a teenager, I get along really well with Dr. Coulson and he treats me like a close friend!
Dr. Coulson was patient and answered all of my questions without rushing us. He was patient and kind with my child.
We fully vaccinate our children, but I like to introduce new vaccines by themselves. I don't mind making extra appointments to come back in between routine visits. There may not be any scientific evidence surrounding my preferred method but it's our preference. Again, we believe in vaccinations but it should be okay to be cautious. The last time I took my son there he lectured me about me, not getting him a flu shot. I am not sure if there is a monetary incentive involved for them or not but it seemed like it. He was defensive, passive aggressive, argumentative and I felt as if he was shaming me. He just seems very close minded and angry that others may have a different approach to vaccinations and definitely tried to make me feel stupid. On a positive note, he did answer all of my other medical questions and his nurse and front desk employees were very kind.
Dr. Coulson is very personable, explains things well and always checks to see if my son or I have any questions.
Dr Coulson was so sweet with my newborn and took his time to answer all my questions. I felt totally at ease.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
