I appreciate Dr. Sy taking time to go over the diagnosis clearly and treatment options. Also, the staff is very friendly and professional. I’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes when I arrive on time for an appointment.

Dr. Sy is great. However, the facility where he does his colonoscopies in (Memorialcare Digestive Care Center) is the absolute worst. I love Dr. Sy and his staff but until they get out of this absolutely horrible facility with some of the most incompetent front office staff that I have ever encountered, I will, unfortunately, be taking my business elsewhere. Thank you. 5 stars for Dr. Sy.1 star for Memorialcare Digestive Care Center (see separate review elsewhere)

I was referred to Dr. Sy for a colonoscopy. He completed his perfunctory consult in May 2022. When asked when my last colonoscopy was, I said 10 years ago. His office scheduled my procedure for November 2, 2022. After taking 2 days off work and completing that awful Suprep, I checked in for my procedure. However, when I was in my hospital gown and bed with an IV in for the sedation, Dr. Sy comes to tell me that, after reviewing my prior records just now, I’m not due for this procedure. Even though 2 other doctors from the same medical group recommended it—my primary doctor and my gynecologist because I am BRCA1 positive—he said I don’t need it at this time. When I asked him why he had not reviewed my records before this, he said he just assumed I knew when I had had my last one. As I proceeded to tell him that this was unacceptable and unprofessional, and that he was incompetent for not doing his due diligence, he took absolutely no responsibility for his error.

I am impressed with Dr Sy medical knowledge regarding my preventative medical condition.Also the nurses and front at office medical support .and team players are very professional and genuinely care about memorial care patients.Please communicate to supervisor that all of these employees including the employee who takes patients temperature before they enter makes me feel and allows me to see Covid-19 protocols are in place,at this Laguna hills modality.
