This was by far the worst experience I've ever had with a primary care physician. From the moment I walked in, I questioned whether I was even in the right office--there was skincare and cosmetic procedures advertised everywhere, including the doctor's own skincare line. It was immediately clear that family medicine is not her priority. I was a new patient and came in for a follow-up visit after an extremely painful and traumatic gallstone episode that required an ER visit. When I tried to discuss my family's history of severe gallbladder issues, I was completely shut down. She dismissed my concerns and made me feel foolish for questioning her suggestion that my symptoms were simply a "virus going around." Again, this was diagnosed by the ER after diagnostic testing. These symptoms were painful, abnormal, and inconsistent--nothing like a routine illness. Instead of listening and offering guidance or support, she chose not to hear me out. I left the appointment feeling defeated, unsupported, and with no answers about my condition or how to move forward. I would not recommend this office to anyone seeking attentive, compassionate primary care. Now if you want some cosmetic done to your face, seems like this is the place to be.
This was the worst experience I have had with a Primary Care Physician. On my first visit Dr. Motlagh was nice and answered all my questions so I thought I had found my new doctor. But all my interactions after that day were very disappointing. I came to get help with a B6 toxicity I was suffering from that was diagnosed by a previous neurologist I went to. I did not receive any help from Dr. Motlagh besides getting the lab orders I needed to recheck my B6. She told me it wasn't a real thing even thought my labs came back in toxic levels. I asked her to look into it and she did not. I ended up resolving that issue on my own with the research I conducted online. Then I came back to her for help with H.Pylori treatment. She knew nothing about the bacteria but set me up on a protocol. When I returned with questions she emailed saying "This is the recommended method of treatment of h. Pylori so please just follow the instructions." I responded to her and let her know that answer was unacceptable, that she should be able to help me understand what, why and how to use the 4 prescribed medicines she asked me to take. I felt so unsupported by her and I let her know that. She should have just referred me out to an expert in both of those areas that she was not. Instead she took me on and rushed me in and out of all my visits besides the first one. She also did not provide me with the proper instructions when I went to do my breath test for the H.pylori and that resulted in my having to make another appointment and reschedule my babysitter to just have to go again. I feel that Dr. Motlagh has either over booked herself resulting in not having enough time to serve her patients properly or she just does not care much about them. I let her know that I would be changing doctors and she sent me a discharge letter. I should have listened to all the poor reviews I saw here before visiting her but she was really close to my home and I had been referred by someone else who was very happy there.
My experience with the doctor herself was fine — she was professional and nice. However, the overall experience with the office has been very disappointing. I received a bill for my February 8, 2024 visit, which I fully paid in November, yet from 2024 until now (December 2025) I have continued receiving the same bill for the same co-pay — five times, and now a sixth. I had already called the office three times before the incident with the PA. When I called again to ask about the repeated billing, the PA Mona Amirkhani hung up on me, which was extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. I’ve now emailed the doctor directly in hopes this finally gets resolved. Patients should not have to deal with ongoing billing errors and disrespectful staff behavior.

Dr. Motlagh is a very caring physician who spends time with me at each appointment to make sure I am comfortable and understand all of my lab results. I am very anxious at medical appointments, but she has been wonderful in making me feel at ease-even at a blood draw. She has excellent recommendations and is not dismissive of any of my concerns. I highly recommend her and her excellent staff.
Unprofessional, Unsafe, and Dishonest Billing Prac I scheduled an appointment as a new patient for an annual check-up, which should be 100% covered by my insurance. To make matters worse, the doctor did not properly review my mammogram results. I had already read them myself and saw that an MRI was recommended. When I called to request a referral, the doctor later called me back with no knowledge of the situation, which made me feel unsafe and ignored. Even before discussing my results, she charged me another co-payment -- again, without justification. I would strongly advise others to stay away from this practice. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and questionable billing tactics made this one of the worst healthcare experiences I've ever had.

Dr. Motlaugh has been my physician for several years. She is a compassionate and dedicated doctor who has helped me through many difficult situations. I am grateful to have her as my doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
