List of Coastal Kids's Reviews
Coastal kids is a wonderful practice and Dr Salter is the best She always takes the time to answer all my questions and follow up with me to make sure my baby is okay. I greatly appreciate their approach to covid and all of our safety.
They have a lot of providers spread across multiple locations. Weve seen a few providers at various locations. Dr. Herrera is the <a href=redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fbomb.comamps=bb4f996415a9c2f21137e27cfb68f439a48cec2652b53e9b50dd7e766dbe177e target=blank rel=nofollow>bomb.com<a> Super knowledgeable and her main priority is ensuring your child get the care needed. Shes Definitely one of the best providers at Coastal Kids
We have appointment for COVID vaccine for my kids the nurse tel me for my second dose can be there 345 or 4 I pick up my kids from school we got there at 350 and the nurse was picking up everything from outside I tell them I have appointment and they tell me was late they close at 4 pm tell them to check the clock I still have 10 min and they were rude ignored me completely went inside and same rude. Lost my appointment unfortunately
The doctors here are fine. It is the office staff that are rude and do not provide consistent information. I have tried to be really patient with coastal kids to give them the benefit of the doubt regarding my experiences here but it has not changed.
My experience with the doctors here have been fine. My experience has been with the various office staff members. Similar to the other reviewers Ive had my fair experiences with what they have experienced as well. Rude staff members being hung up on incredibly long waiting periods to see the doctor even when I called ahead to see if the doctor was running behind.
Totally rude. Hung up on me after I was on hold for over an hour. I didnt even want to go here but my sons insurance for whatever reason transferred him here. Horrible 1st experience.
Love the Coastal Kids doctors well Dr. Salter and Abelowitz who are both fabulous but DONT see the awful PA Jennifer at Laguna Niguel. After 6 years of taking my kids there I was very disappointed by her attitude and she was horribly rude. Very condescending and just a bad bedside manner. Working with kids and parents means you have to play nice amp smile even when you dont want to..much like teachers do. Clearly she missed the memo Id give 5 stars otherwise for Dr. Salter amp Dr. Abelowitz I can only strongly recommend them the others very meh.
Dr. Salter and her nurse Lizette are amazing Dr. Salter always takes the time to answer our questions and is empathetic about our concerns. She is knowledgeable confident and kind. Shes great at being in tune with the times and developmentally what the kids are going through. Her nurse Lizette is so great at giving shots. She is also kind to our kids and knowledgeable.
I really didnt want to write a review because i thought the situation had remedied its self but Im at my limit at this point. This has nothing to do with the doctors here as they are AMAZING. The problem lies within their front desk staff. I am a first time mom that has very little knowledge as to how the insurance grace period process worked. I was never told that I had a 30 day grace period so it was a bit of a shock when I got a call about my childs 6 week doctor appt. from the front desk and that I would have to pay cash because my child was not on my insurance. Not only did the lady make me feel very uncomfortable her tone left a bad taste in my mouth and had me in tears. She also made it seem like it would take weeks to get my child added on my insurance but sure enough I had her on my plan before her appt would have been I had to reschedule because of the whole ordeal which now turns out was not necessary on top of it I never received my childs baby book with all her measurements and the vaccine schedule at her first appt so when I got the call for her appt I was told at that point she would be given vaccines that i had no knowledge of and wasnt provided information to research about them . After that mess I thought that it was cleared up as I spoke with someone who was more understanding and took the right steps to remedy the situation. She had a great appt with her doctor and finally received her baby book. Fast forward to today. We just got a call from billing stating that apparently her insurance wasnt taken care of and that information was coming from the same front desk that I had the problem with originally Turns out it didnt take the woman from billing very long to look up the information and find that my child was infact insured but felt the need to press us about her not having insurance. If it was so simple to look up the information why call and hassle parents? Her excuse was that she was told from the front desk that my child didnt have insurance. Ridiculous. Again doctors are amazing and the only reason we will continue to go to Coastal kids but Im really concerned about the adminbilling office side of things. They lack professionalism and empathy in my eyes and for someone who has worked in customer service positions since I was 17 Im shocked that they would conduct themselves in such manor.
Coastal kids is a wonderful place to take your kids for wellness checks and the occasional sore throat or rash. Appointments are easy to make and the doctors are awesome

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
