Dr. Patel listen to what I needed. He presented 3 surgical option and how they differed in regard to range of motion upon recovery. His innovative approach and forward thinking lead to a great outcome from my thumb surgery. I was able to start playing golf again after a 3 month recovery!

Dr. Patel was kind, attentive and willing to answer any and all questions. I expressed my concerns that my diagnosis not be mistaken for osteoarthritis prematurely. He carefully listened to my past arthritic history before determining that osteoarthritis was, in fact, what ails me. South Coast Orthopedic Specialists offers a wide array of ortho coverage and I have had much success there in dealings with them with respect to my joint health, including three different surgeries (all necessary and all successful). But Dr. Patel carefully examined the x-rays and determined that my condition was not one that could be remedied by surgery and the old "wear-and-tear" game was in progress. At least I confidently now know my options and appreciate the good doctor's care.

Dr Patel is an amazing doctor who genuinely cared about my well-being. He did what he could to prevent surgery, but when the crossroads came to make that decision, he laid everything out for me to make an informed decision. If I ever have any issues again, he is the surgeon I will request.

I went to Dr. Patel for an issue with my left hand. He was very attentive to my issues and gave me the option to get a shot to relieve my pain. It worked! I highly recommend Dr. Patel!
