Right knee pain. Dr. Gersten explained the problem very well and what it would take to fix it. Dr. Girstan has preformed three successful surgeries on me over the last 24 years with no complications. Right & left shoulder and left knee. Now I'm ready for a right knee replacement. I've been very happy with SCOS.

Dr. Gersten and his staff are wonderful. I have been seen in this office for many years. The staff is very hard working, knowledgeable and courteous in spite of the fact that it is an extremely busy office. They juggle a hundred things at once and always manage to get it all done. The back office staff runs like a finely tuned machine. I needed my knee drained and a cortisone injection, the medical assistant set up Dr. Gersten’s surgical tray down to a splash of alcohol on a gauze pad to wipe away the blood and an open bandaid to cover the injection site.Dr. Gersten himself has a great bedside manner. He is personable, friendly and most of all he has a great touch with a needle. I hardly felt the procedure. Also, as a surgeon, it’s been my experience that they operate and while I have terrible bone on bone arthritis in my knee and would probably benefit from a total joint replacement. He is fine letting that be my decision, and I do not want surgery at this time in my life. We are exhausting every known possibility to avoid it.I am very sad to learn he is retiring. Happy for him as he has earned it, but hoping his replacement it half as good.

Dr Gersten is a great Dr. and also a great person. He is so knowledge and caring. I could tell right when he walked in I was going to like him. I would recommend him to all my friends and family.

Upon arrival I greeted by very pleasant knowledgeable people at the front desk. I sat down to fill out some paper work and I was called back before I even got started.Dr. Getsten came into the room and was very professional. He had my MRI results up on the screen and explained in detail my situation. He was very thorough. It was a good experience all the way around with the Dr and his staff!

I am glad to see Dr Gersten. I was suffering from knee pain from last one year. He is very knowledgeable. I am a different person today I can walk without pain ans do my yoga

In keeping with my prior experience at SCOS my treatment by Dr. Gersten was top notch. He listened to everything I had to say about my condition and then addressed my hip injury and provided real assistance to help me prevent future falls. Very fortunate to have a health care provider like him.
