I was experiencing some pain in my knee playing sports, but i could be active. Dr. Lance Montgomery assured me if he did orthroscopic surgery on my knee, Id be back almost 100%. The surgery was a disaster. I was athletic and active and i committed to physical therapy, and still am after 10 years. I had and have worse pain since the surgery. Im unable to build strength in my right leg now due to the weak painful joint. When i went in postop to discuss, Dr Montgomery said well, i had to remove a lot of meniscus... and yes I can see that leg is half the size of the other. This was not what i was promised. Now my knee feels like bone on bone and Im headed soon for a knee replacement. My decision to let him do surgery has severely altered my life. I only swim now as thats all i have left. Walking is painful.

March 20, 2003Replaced my knee. Did a wonderful job!!! He found out that my thigh bone & leg bone were two different sizes (#5 and #7) but still got amazing results.. Because of the different size bones, he spent an 1 1/2 hours more time than usual at no extra charge! I have great motion in this leg now ... can bend it very far! Doctor Montgomery did surgery on my right shoulder about 10 years ago, so when it came time that I needed surgery on my left shoulder, I knew where to go, and what to expect. He had done a terrific job on my right shoulder, which is still in good shape 10 years later. This time around he did my left and I found he and his staff to be everything I remembered. From the evaluation stage, to the consultation on what to do, the actual surgery, and then postop followup, he and his staff were all very well versed on how to fix the problem and also keep me informed on what to expect. Special thanks to his staff too. Victoria, Vanessa, Kelsey, and Robert were all very knowledgeable, helpful and nice to deal with. It has been a little less than 2 weeks since my surgery and I am already nearly fully recovered with full range of motion. I would definitely recommend going to Doctor Montgomery if you are in need of a good Orthopedic surgeon.

i had my left hip replacement done by Dr. Montgomery at SCOS and I am very happy with surgery I can walk much better without any pain. I strongly recommend Dr. Montgomery and I will have my right hip replaced next year
