This review is something entirely new. I do not recommend this clinic or most mental clinics to anyone. Triston and Angelica are rude, doubtful, and ignorant. I’ve been with more than one clinic and they disappoint me all, sadly 😞. Really, mental health providers are not there for you since they’re not the one asking for help, “you are”. They constantly ignore important details and judge you like your lying. They always give the benefit of the doubt to those that did you unjustified and it’s very bitter, unfortunately. I think psychology/psychologist are great/mandatory for finding out your mental health diagnosis but any form of therapy from government owned is not worth it in the long run.So sorry to disappoint any of you considering therapy but personally I found a better way by just learning to become healthier. Nutrition, fitness, career building and finding your own small support group is great. Then passing it on is amazing little by little. ☺️☺️☺️
I’ve been going to the clinic for about five years now. A couple of years ago, I transitioned to the Mature Adults Clinic side of the program. I would have to say that the entire time I’ve been going there, everyone has been very helpful, and supportive. The receptionists, the therapist, peer support specialist, and all the rest of the staff are hands-down awesome in my opinion. They always have an encouraging word for me. I just can’t say enough about the place! Every one there is like family to me! I look forward to my next appointment.
Complete and total negligence by dr. Kumara Said she was sending a prescription to Walmart at 3:30 p.m. and so far it's 7 p.m. and they have not received anything now I have to wait because tomorrow they're not open on 4th of July of course and the whole weekend to get my medication and there will be withdrawal symptoms for this high dosage
If this place is supposed to help people with their mental health, I would sure like to know and see where that help is! I have tried to get in to the intake with Tristan for over 2 months now. Last month I showed up for my appt. He was not there, they said they were supposed to call and let me know. As frustrated as I was I made another appt , they could not see me for another month, which was today. I waited eagerly to get this done today , especially with all these thoughts running through my head. 1 hour before my appt. I thought maybe I should just call so I didn't waste my time driving down there again for him not to be there. I call the lady says, "oh we were actually going to call you he is not in today" I said you have got to be kidding me, this is two months I have been trying to get in. As she was saying would you like to reschedule, I hung up in utter disappointment. The system among many is broken, and people wonder why there are so many suicides In this world of brokenness.
Nice place with nice people.
The staff are very helpful and caring. When it comes to mental health and resources you have to be willing to ask for help and wait a few minutes to be helped. There is an unrealistic expectation patients have that they ' must be helped right away and that the therapist or doctor knows everything that is wrong with you'. Getting help and making progress takes time and effort. I think this place offers Great classes and therapy services . Yes, there might be a little bit of a wait to get an appointment... But if you seriously need one they have a 24 hour urgent care you can visit. They offer services for people who have mental problems ... Not patience problems. This facility is one of the best I have been to.
I feel most of the people here are amazing and do great work. One of the biggest problems is how they treat there client which is the patient. Appointments are not held with the flexibility as in a doctor's office. When coming to see the doctor and the patient (client is late). They are not able to see anyone. And when it's rescheduled the appt is 3 to 4 weeks out. This is a big problem the only way to get there med's is to see the doctor here. And the person at the front desk does not suggest they ask for the nurse if there in need of there meds.
My brother went here simply for medication. Ended up being body snatched against his will. They deceived my brother thinking he was being taken to Inland Valley for a prescription, but was held for 2 days without communication with friends or family. After Inland valley for 2 days and then transported him clear up to LA in a completely different County, to a locked down mental health facility on a hold without notifying me, his care taker and sister. They will not allow me to pick him up! I have had everyone looking for him for 4 days as a missing person from San Diego to Montana, worst case thinking he was dead or in an accident not knowing where he was! I started getting police involved. OMG! Can you say civil rights violation all over a prescription refill? This will cost everyone thousands of dollars to get him out. They have ruined him.
I've been going to this clinic for several years. There was a time, like YESTERDAY, when I would've given them five stars. But after sitting on hold for LITERALLY TEN MINUTES today, I'll give two just cuz I'm feeling magnanimous.. (cuz that's one, maybe two extra stars for those of you scoring at home) guess it's a good thing I didn't have a gun in my mouth. WAY TO GO MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS!!
The receptionists are always so courteous and welcoming! The only issue that I have had is the doctor cancelling my appointments the day before. This has happened three times and twice I have been rescheduled for another appointment a full four weeks later. It's extremely frustrating after waiting a full month for an appointment, which is very important in maintaining my healthcare.
