Nusrat Ahsan's Online Review Report Card

Wish I had read the negative reviews here before wasting my time and my precious annual physical with her. I still keep getting bills from her, strongly suggest to keep away from her.

Dr Ashan is an amazing doctor, I recently switched insurances so was nervous to switch doctors. She is so kind, patient and listens to you, and has great bed side manner. Her nurse Randa I believe is so very sweet and makes you feel very comfortable. Their front office is also so welcoming and patient. Answers any and all questions for you and is very knowledgeable. The facility is very clean. Wait times are very quick, probably the quickest i've had at a doctors office. would definitely recommend this office !

So far had really good experience with Dr. Ashan. She listens and gives you the necessary time.

Monday I called the office to book a pelvic exam with 2 complaints.Tuesday I saw Dr Ahsan and she did the pelvic exam noting that one of my complaints is legitimate and the other was not. Today (Wednesday) I called back complaining about the supposed non issue and spoke with various people for an hour to finally have her speak to me and speak over me, again disregarding my effort to communicate my needs. *She had not even written my complaint in her notes - that is how non issue it was in her findings.* It got to the point where I asked where her human ability to sympathize was. She was wrong to dismiss me yesterday and I deserved to have a proper examination. I have photographic proof that challenges her idea that my complaint is nothing.In the end she offered to refer me to a gynaecologist and prescribe a cream. Again, after defending myself for over an hour to various (mostly kind and understanding) staff and then her personally.To say I feel defeated and exhausted is a fraction of it.I am sure Dr Ahsan is a very intelligent and accomplished doctor. Called this office three days in a row after the pharmacy told me that they were waiting for a week to get a new prescription approved. When calling the office two days in a row they claimed the doctor said she already called in the prescription. Heritage Medical group in Lake Forest is a total mess. They appear friendly but never do what they say they are going to do.

Dr. Ahsan is probably the most unprofessional physician I have ever visited in 43years.  After leaving me waiting for almost an hour she was extremely rude when I mentioned how long I had been waiting.  She clearly had no respect for my time as I repeatedly asked for my results so I could get back to work.  She is the worst!  She even had the gall to tell my that I could have just looked up my results online... are you kidding me lady? Then why did you call me to come in?!?!?!

Dr. Ahsan is the worst doctor I've ever encountered in my life. When you need anything from her, she will give you everything, but that. She can't seem follow instructions very well. Her attitude and behaviors are highly unprofessional and half-assed. She doesn't have your best care in mind. Watch out.

I have been looking to replace my son's Primary Care Physician after his previous o e abruptly quit the practice. Dr Ahsan is the fourth doctor we had been to and we weren't very hopeful. She is however competent, caring and professional. My son has two lifelong rare diseases and he is a very complicated patient. He currently has 12 specialists but we need a primary doctor for his regular needs and to oversee his care. She understood his complexities quickly and is a wonder human being too!

After our much-beloved doctor retired a few months back, we were at a loss to contemplate how she could ever be replaced. She was the best of the best. After asking friends and calling about, we weren't feeling optimistic. It wasn't until I needed to see a doctor that it occurred to me that my previous doctor had left a referral. Top on her list was Dr. Ashan.I gave Dr. Ashan's office a call as was able to see her the same week. Her office was easy to find and is centrally located in Lake Forest. Upon entering the waiting room it was apparent the facility was brand spanking new. Everything about the space was attractive, welcoming and comfortable. I liked it already. I was greeted quickly by a helpful and genuine assistant. She took the time to ensure all my paperwork and records were in order. I learned the doctor's appointments were right on time and that she would see me shortly. No more than ten minutes later, an equally pleasant nurse led me to my room. On the way, I noticed the facility was new as well - it was open, and beautifully designed. Dittos for my examination room. It was not only relaxing, fresh and warm, every medical gadget known to modern medicine was accessible and state-of-the-art. At this point, I was very impressed. However, a spectacular office does not an equally impressive doctor make. I was soon to discover how unfounded my skepticism was.Soon after the requisite groundwork and information gathering, Dr. Ahsan entered and greeted me warmly. Instantly she exuded a quality of confidence, competence, and sincerity. Any apprehension I felt was dashed in seconds.Without going into detail about my first visit, I think is it relevant to share that I felt thoroughly at ease and in excellent hands. Dr. Ahsan is both brilliant and charismatic. Not only was her demeanor casual and caring, she appeared to have all the time in the world for me. There is nothing about her that is superficial, impersonal, or perfunctory. The depth of her questions, the time she invested into learning more about me, and her keen insight into resolving my concerns expressed to me a doctor who is at top of her field and one worthy of trusting my family's health. Long story short, while I will be forever grateful and miss our now retired doctor, it's comforting to know she left us in equally capable hands.
