I was pregnant then breastfed for six months. My RA was so out of control. Luckily I was referred to Dr. Gomez and she immediately got me started on the necessary meds to get me back on track. She was very thorough and followed up with me through phone calls even after hours just to see how I was doing. I felt like I was in good hands with her as my rheumatologist,
Just to inform any readers of previous comment, these were mostly written by immature, uneducated females with a grudge and lack of proffesionalism. Olivia Gomez is a brilliant physician who happens to wear many "Dr. Hats" because she has the knowledge to do so. I have experienced what she can do for patients who are very ill and is capable of bringing them back to full health and allowing them to lead normal lives. She has also gone out of her way to make sure her patients recieve the medication and treatment they need regardless of there insurance or lack there of. She may not be evryone's cup of tea but she is a brilliant physician with much experience in the Rheumatology and Internal Medicine Fields.
Although she is pleasant, the lack of professionalism in the running of her practice is astounding. Constantly late, cancels appointments at the last minute, and if you can actually get to see her, spends about 7 minutes with you. I've stuck with her for a long time but I'm finally fed up.
this doctor argues with her patients and doesn't knwo what she is talking aboutOffice is nice, but you can tell they are embarrassed by her
TOTALLY AGREE W/ THE OTHER REVIEWS.RUDE - UNPROFESSIONAL- LACK OF KNOWLEDGE .HOW SOMEONE LIKE THIS CAN BE RHEUMATOLOGIST.????
I went to see her because I had symptoms that cause serious pain, I also had a positive ANA test. Though it was easy to get an appointment I can c why! She treated me with little respect, ignored my symptoms and stated that maybe I was stressed or depressed. She also said that as we age our body changes.. Well I'm 30! She was talking to me as If I was 60! I don't trust her at all, didn't appear as if she took the time to review my test and she just wanted to get payed and send me on my way!! If u can avoid her and look for some one else even if u have to travel far. That's exactly what I'm going to do.
she doesn't instill confidence as a medical professional. she is rude, agrumentative. she won't write prescription for her patient, she will discharge a patient for no reason. she has worn many doctor hats, internal medicine, rheumatology (which she lacks knowledge in) and did her residency in OB/GYN. she can't make up her mind as to what she wants to be when she grows up.see her at your risk
HORRIBLE!!! The office called to tell me my appt was cancelled an hour before I was to be there. The next appt, I fill out 20 pages of redundant material and after 2 hours-I still have not been seen.
My girlfriend had an appointment at 11:00 am. We arrived at 10:45 am, and filled out a first time patient form that was about 10 pages long. Many other doctors e-mail forms like this to their patients, but in any case, after filling out the forms, which took about an hour, my girlfriend was informed that it would be about another hour until her appointment, and we were encouraged to go get a bite to eat. One bite to eat later, we returned and continued to wait in the small and stuffy waiting room. At 1:00 pm, my girlfriend's name was called, and she had her vitals taken by the admitting nurse. After that, it was back to the waiting room. Finally, at 1:30 pm, she was invited to visit with the doctor. One hour later, she emerged. The first fifteen minutes were spent waiting for the doctor to enter the room, after that, the time was equally split between her telling Dr. Gomez what her symptoms were, having the doctor squeeze sensitive areas to determine that my girlfriend was being honest about the pain and then listening to the doctor confirm what my girlfriend had just told her, having the doctor ask questions that my girlfriend had already answered on the voluminous admittance paperwork, and then look up my girlfriend's previous specialist on the internet to see if she knew her, personally. Dr. Gomez concluded the visit by requesting a follow-up appointment and telling my girlfriend that she required more of the medication that my girlfriend had already explained has been having adverse effects on her. In conclusion, it is hard to believe that Dr. Gomez is a doctor. Her helpfulness and care were about on par with her office management skills, which were depressing.
This Doctor is known for long wait times of 3-4 hours. It's not unusual to wait all afternoon and then have her cancel the appointment. Extremely poor time management. Also, office doesn't answer phone or return calls. This DOctor needs a good office manager! Horrible way to treat people.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
