List of Peyton Riggs's Reviews
When establishing care as a new patient, I was told he didn't have time to go over my medical history. This should have been my first clue? When asked to fill out paperwork after surgery, he charged me an office visit. My insurance refused to pay, because it was for paperwork. I explained to this to the doctor and he said, this is how he bills. I was stuck with a 180.00 dollar bill. I recently took my husband in to see him who has terminal cancer because he had uncontrollable vomiting and hadn't been able to keep anything down for days and was in considerable pain. He also had difficulty walking which was new for him. When I asked if he could be admitted to the hospital I was told no, and that the doctor wasn't concerned about my husband's inability to walk. He wanted to get him 'eating' first. Working in the healthcare field, I prefer a total body approach and a physician who is not worried about getting to the next patient, but caring for the one sitting in front of him. If comparing his office and care to Omnicare yes, it is better. But still not anyone I would take my pets to.
Dr. Riggs is excellent. He answers questions & explains well. He always meets my medical needs. When necessary he refers to the best specialists. He does not rush your appointment. He greets you, asks questions, & is very knowledgable. I am totally satisfied after 16 yrs.
Have been a patient of Dr. Riggs for approx. 15 years. Very satisfied with all aspects of his service. Definitely recommend him to anyone.
Dr Riggs saved my life. Dr Riggs kept watch of my PSA for about 5 years as it was raising every year. 6 years ago it went from just over 5 to 7.2. I had cancer that had Dr Riggs not been monitoring my PSA, I would have died. I had 82 radiation seeds implanted in my prostate and now my PSA is .2 and I’m cancer free. What do I think of Dr Riggs, if I could give him 10 stars instead of five, I would.
Wonderful doctor takes his time with you and explains medical things so you will understand. I never fill rushed when I see him.
I have been to Dr. Riggs many times in the past few years. He always listens & works with me to solve my health issues. I rate him 5 & would recommend him to all my friends & neighbors. He is always professional & personable.
We love Dr Riggs. Our kids have seen him since infancy and he is always so personable with them and makes them comfortable to have their check ups.
The doctor and staff have always been professional and thorough.
Dr. Peyton Riggs has been an excellent Primary Care Provider for me. He has been my doctor since 2007; he has always been careful at monitoring my health and thoughtful with his recommendations about improving my health. I recommend him highly and I would undoubtedly stay with him until he retires, but unfortunately his medical group no longer accepts Military Tri-care Prime insurance. Definitely my loss.
Dr Peyton Riggs is lazy and a terrible doctor. My 90 year old Father went to him yesterday, (he already had an appointment for routine after a physical information). But yesterday morning , before the appointment, my Father heard and felt a "pop" or crack in his left buttocks area. I called the office and spoke to 2 persons and asked them to tell the Doc to get an x-ray. Do you know that Dr Riggs did not have my Father remove his clothing to even look visually at the problem (for a blood clot? (maybe)), did not palpate the area with his hands as trained doctors would normally do, nor did he get an x-ray. Totally ignored my request. I went to see my Father in the afternoon and had him on ice, My dad could not remember the diagnosis, and Dr Riggs said it will take anywhere from 2 wks to 2 months to heal. How does he know that? I am a RN. Today my Father is much much worse. But what good would it do? Dr Riggs did not hospitalize my dad when he diagnosed him with pneumonia two months ago. My dad still has it. I am disgusted by this doctor and am reporting him to the Medical Board.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
