Ravi S Shankar's Online Review Report Card

Dr Shankar was my Mom's doctor in the icu. She was being tested for a very rare genetic disease but she died before the results came in. I asked the doctor if I would ever know the results since it worried me that it's genetic. He told me to call his office in a week and he would give me the results. This was almost two months ago. I have left messages pleading for a call back, I have talked to other people at his office but for some reason, after 2 months and probably 20 calls, this is my last resort.

Caring, considerate, kind and very very intelligent.

Dr Shankar is the most PHENOMENAL Dr. I've ever met. My Mother is his PT of his. The office personnel are Fantastic. We have never been disappointed with the care provided. I would recommend Dr. Shankar to anyone needing the best Pulmonologist. I want Dr to be my physician. 20 out of 10 high marks

Dr.Ravi Shankar has been seeing me since November of 2002 we’ve been through some tough times he knows everything about me he has saved me more then a few times he is a wonderful Doctor I will send any to him I know he will do whatever he could to help your health improve meanwhile. Taking the time to get too know you thank you Dt Shankar

Does not listen, 2 to 3 hour wait times, does not keep up with other health issues, cancels appts without notice. I do not recommend.

I so much share the views of the 2 people above me who gave good reviews to Dr Shankar. I got a bad aspirgillus infection in my lungs in 2017 and Dr Shankar put me in PRMC for 8 days and got me going again. Over 20 years ago I was told that I had moderate COPD, and because other than the aspirgillus episode my COPD had never flared up on me. NOW IT HAS, and with a vengence!! The bad part is that I no longer live in the Antelope Valley, and now live in town where it's been difficult to find a suitable Physician who cares enough to go the extra mile, and each day is filled with 2-4 ounces of moucous, and a 24 hour chronic cough. Needless to say I miss Dr Shankar immensely, and even though I didn't think I'd ever say this, but I wish I still lived in Lancaster!!

Doctor Shankar is great, he's known me for 15 year's, he's the last of a dying breed.

He laughed at my cousin and I both for asking to rule out Addison's Disease. We both found by other Drs we do have it. It is potentially fatal. He told me, "Your face isn't far so you don't have it" that is Cushing that causes day faces, th we opposite of Addison's. Addison's is low or no cortisol. Cushings is high. I have none. I will never go to him again. He didn't care enough to rule out such a dangerous disease. Instead laughed at both myself and at her visit, my cousin!

The worst. Thanks for absolutely nothing.

Dr. Shankar really cares. He didn't know me when he first saw me- I was on life support in the ICU at PRMC and THANKS TO GOD for sending Dr. Shankar to take care of me. He saved my life, literally. He stayed when they removed the life support and coached me through it and told me what to do to stay alive. He doesn't even know that I remember that but I do. AND all this was in the middle of the night. He should have been home sleeping. Anyway, this story was later confirmed by the respiratory therapist who took me off the life support. Dr. Shankar spoke with my mother, an RN who was married to a surgeon for 30 years, and she thought he was fantastic and caring. And who would know better than her. I am also an RN with 25 years experience, so I also can appreciate a great doctor when I see one. The Antelope Valley is extremely lucky to have Dr. Shankar working here. God Bless this man.
