List of Ruben Hernandez's Reviews
Dr. Hernandez is very professional, listens, and discusses your medical history in detail. I have seen him and his wife who is a physician. I'm very pleased with the medical care provided and the professionalism of his offices.
Dr. Hernadez and his wife run a medical practice in Lancaster, CA at the HDMG. As with many Dr.'s in this area, it can take a bit of time to find the right "fit". After seeing his wife a few times, I was referred to him by her, presumably so she could get his input on my particular case/issues. While Mrs. Liliana Hernadez is patient and kind, Mr. Hernandez is all brusque and business. He did not listen to my case, and instead focused on (1) item that I had given to them as a symptom, and latched onto it without letting go. After being effectively chastised several times previously on my "lack of medical records", I ensured that I hand delivered copies of my most recent info to their office. I'm uncertain if they actually made it into my files, as Mr. Hernandez kept referring to outmoded information and didn't seem to have much interest in what I had to say. We started off the consult late, as is often the case at their office, which, as a timely person is always disheartening/a bit upsetting. I do understand that Doctors get behind on scheduling, but I am always seen at minimum 30-45 min behind schedule. Appointments are made and it typically will take me around 2ish+ hrs to get there, wait, be seen, wait for the nurses to finish paperwork, and actually leave. In my most recent visit, I was one of the first appointments of the day, so there's no reason why they should've been behind already. That said, I don't ask for much- simply listen to my needs and request, as a patient trying to narrow down on decades of symptoms that are not clear. Don't chastise me as an adult person (and again, patient) for "lack of medical records". It should be noted here as well that I told them exactly where to get the records that I did have from the first time it was mentioned- several moves and Government care for majority of my life do not allow me to have the luxury of a cohesive background with 1-2 local Dr.s over several years. They never obtained them, to my knowledge, until I personally hand delivered them to their office. Overall, a fine office that I hope to continue with, but if the chastising and lateness continue, I will take my business (and health needs) elsewhere.
Dr. Hernandez is an excellent doctor. He listens to my concerns. I have been with him for the past year. I don't have any complaints. His office nurses are very caring.
Excellent service at Dr. Hernandez office.. Dr. Hernandez is the best in town. Dr. Hernandez practice is one of a kind, not many doctors like him in town.
I have been seeing Dr.Hernandez for many years now and am very satisfied. He is a no nonsense Dr. easy to deal with and clear, he has provided me with excellent health care and good decisions on my health conditions. He has moved office and I do not mind driving a bit further to see him for my appointments. Under his care and with my efforts I am now off my BP and Cholesterol meds and feeling great!
I am always hesitant to find a new doctor in the area...going in with eyes wide shut. Dr. Hernandez reassured me that I was in good hands and would be taken care of one thing at a time. He was supportive, comforting, and knowledgable about the process I was going through. He took his time and gave me hope back in the medical field.
From the time I entered the from door there was a peace felt. The environment is warn and welcome. The staffs are pleasantly friendly and helpful. Dr Ruben Hernandez was very caring, and compassionate, he listened and addressed all my concerns.
Im a caregiver to both my mom & husband so ive meet many doctors. When i look for a GREAT DOCTOR its not ALL ABOUT the doctors its all around service. So hands down Mr. & Mrs. Hernandez's r some very nice ppl and there staff all very nice. Ive never had a bad visit. Need a doctor to take there time and LISTEN this is a place. Great service, friendly, helpful, and all around great.
He said I have arthritis.. instead medi-cal found a labral tear in my right hip. His ol lady (nurse practitioner) gave better treatment and also warned me about his demeanor. He sucks!!!!
Prior Dr. had prescribed a few Norco per month for migraine headaches. Dr. Hernandez entered a diagnosis of "substance abuse disorder- opiate dependence". Then when I discovered a medication was causing headaches and discontinued the medication he entered into the record "noncompliant patient". These entries in medical records are improper and have potential for serious consequences in the hands of the wrong person.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
