List of California Orthopedics & Spine's Reviews
If you like rude customer service and leaving voice messages and getting no return calls and having doctors tell you they're sending a prescription to your pharmacy and then not doing it and ordering physical therapy or other tests and then not following through then this is definitely the place for you!
I made repeated attempts to reach my doctor to explain by phone a challenge. Impossible and sad - extremely unprofessional to protected class of people-
I completely have changed my mind regarding a doctor whom I thought at a minimum had my best interest at heart. I had surgery at UCSF in Oct C4-T1 and returned back East to begin recovery (I am also separated-bad timing). While I understand I missed appointments the problem is that I asked on multiple occasions to speak to Dr Sponzilli to update him as I returned to CA bc all of my doctors are still here. Once you have surgery UC discharges you to your pain management person for everything as well as your neurologist. I'm very disappointed that I couldn't have a call with him until I arranged for transportation. I thought I read that the Ca legislation indicates that if a patient with a disability (legally) has mobility issues then a physician can talk with the patient via phone. I spent buckets of money on 3 procedures and was conflicted about surgery but became concerned when an intern did a flexion extension X-ray. Nothing was posted in the portal or interpreted by a radiologist. Dr Su blew me off when I wanted him to review with Dr Sponzilli a neurological exam of concern. And he was not familiar with a specific vascular mri that my neurologist recommended. As for Dr S he is very good in the surgery center but I thought he was a physiatrist too. As for the surgery center that's their cash cow and you receive a bill from a company in Hayward bc the MSS outsourced its staff. One would think they had enough money to have their own portal. And Dr S has had so many assistants that flake and leave and you're literally in the matrix. The staff is immature and rude - and as for HIPPA compliance- the doors are open while young obtuse giggles are heard as you may be in agony. Chronic pain or failed surgeries can take your career; your self esteem etc away in an instant. When you don't treat people with dignity- guess what- Karma or other repercussions may come full circle. It's a matter of time. Ps. The no surprises act in billing might be something they want to review. Our AG took Sutter to the cleaners for taking advantage of Medicare patients.
Extremely frustrated and disappointed by the office’s inability to provide a referral. Apparently I’m not the only one who has had an awful experience.
Front desk staff rude. Dr. Kim does not listen. After dealing with the front desk staff I should have realized the tone the establishment set. Do not bother.
Receptionist was rude. And to add insult to injury she was incompetent and could not find that I had an appointment. After I told her it had been confirmed..then she rolled her eyes and found the appointment
Don't go here. They charged me $1200 for a procedure which I paid for out of pocket. During previous visits, a follow up phone call from my doctor was always included. But last time they charged me an additional $103 for a 3-minute phone call, referring to this call as a "doctor visit". This is absurd. I called and wrote to them several times asking that this additional charge be dropped but they refused to listen. Instead, they threatened to send this charge to a collections agency! This office is extremely disorganized and unethical with their business practices. You cannot even email your physician with questions. Instead you will be charged an exorbitant rate for an extremely brief call. I never even requested this follow up phone call. I would steer clear of this group and choose someplace else.
Would not recommend. Went for MRI amd staff was not caring not nice… low service level
The staff is great in person but they manage to make everything (scheduling, filling prescriptions, contacting ur doctor, etc incredibly difficult. Chriss who is Dr. Naidus assistant is impossible to get a hold of and absolutely no help when you do. I only recommend California ortho and spine if you would like the most frustrating experience ever.
Horrible patient care. Almost next to impossible to get an appointment. I was finally able to get one, but was delayed by 2 minutes due to contruction and traffic. I was told they need to reschedule having no empathy for patients who have been in pain for weeks.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
