Love love love consistency in care!! Too bad it's shitty care. Just got off the phone with Partnership, my referral to Stanford to get my issues related to SYSTEMIC REACTIONS TO KNEE PROSTHETIC OR CEMENT has been denied. Why?? you ask, great question It's because the support staff at the clinic is as effective as a turd in the freeway. Yeah, the idiots did not submit the correct paperwork, so I get to suffer even longer. HRSA, I hope you are reading these. If I succumb to this perfectly preventable issue, I want it document it all and I want heads to roll.HEY MCC, I DON'T love the suffering, the torture , all because of incompetence. I hope when and if this gets positively resolved for me and I can embrace a life lived outside of my bedroom again and I can do it with millions of dollars on my bank account and knowing the clinic had to change its incompetent ways, until then...do better by your patients.
At the clinic on S. Eliseo Dr. today. What a clusterf*ck, apparently it takes waaaaaay too much effort to follow up. Yes Dr. Bellavance, this is directed towards you. Last time we met, the last thing you said to me was, "okay I will follow up on your orthopedic referral. Did you?? Oh hell no, I had to call compliance twice on one month. You ought to hear yourself talk. To every issue I presented which is making my quality of life pure crap, your reply's are thus"It's the system""It's not me" bullsh*t it isn't you. Your lame excuse of "well, I have a thousand patients" or "I was gone a week" are pathetic. Either be a part of the solution or step off.If you don't like to hear the issues impacting my life that the clinic is 100% accountable for, maybe you ought to pickup roadkill for a living, that way you won't be taking part in anyone's demise. How about this, if you don't like being in the presence of a pissed off patient, stop being part of the problem. I have been 100% open right here and everywhere else about the less than basic treatment I get at the clinic, use it, be better, do betterUPDATE - 24 hours later. It amazing, had I known that getting pissed off would have resulted in the staff at the clinic actually doing the job they are paid to do, I would have been s jerk three months ago.Reminds me of Pat Tillman's mother, who responded to a letter sent by the military filled with bullsh*t excuses regarding her sons death by friendly fire. She wrote F*ck you. Sure enough that garnered positive results in her quest to learn the truth. I'm calling it the Tillman factor..no more playing nice when the results are less than zero!! Thank You Mrs. Tillman (RIP Pat Tillman)
Every month the clinic has an opportunity to do better. I love employees who have a good work ethic and care for the people who are literally putting food on their table. Unfortunately I can't give pats on the back, atta boys or any good reviews fir this establishment. My referral was made IN SEPTEMBER!!!! My GP appears to have caught THE WHO G.A. C. Team. I guess as long as the employees get a check, apparently they are good with the status quo. He said he would look into what was going on with the referral and get back to me. What a guy!! Can't self motivate to follow up for 2 and a half months so far. Disappointed not surprised-againBy law I can't harm myself but people schooled in the care of people who need it apparently can!!!
More lack of work ethic, absolute stupidity and total disregard and disrespect for patients. A good sentence to keep in mind when dealing with this clinic.LOWER YOUR EXPECTATIONS TO THE POINT WHERE YOU WILL NEVER BE DISAPPOINTED. I doubt any person could lower their expectations far enough with this organization.I left a VM on Friday afternoon. Why? Because I must have an appointment every month to renew my meds and go let my GP know (not that he understands or will do anything about it) how much worse I am getting. So the clinic in their infantile way of handling things apparently did not hear nor understand my message. This is me, this is my DOB, this is my provider and this is what I need, an appointment with my provider the first week of January. So whoever picked up that message apparently either can not hear (due to perpetual HUA) or they don't understand what to do because they called back Saturday before noon to leave me a message advising me of the date and time I called and to please call them back.REALLY ????Who is training these people? Why are they getting paid??My dead dog could do a better job!!!Hey MCC, first I hope that HRSA reads these and i hope that because of your lack of basic care, concern, work ethic etc etc etc a patient does not suffer like I am because your employees can't get their shit together. What should have happened.. I should have had my call returned with an appointment date and time as requested. This is not rocket science, I have been a petite to here for a good 20 years. The same thing must go on every thirty days or I get to go to the ER. WHST DOES IT TAKE TO GET THE BASIC CARE FROM YOU???
Let me pose a question here? Is it reasonable to have a referral department continue to claim they sent out the referral information. (In this case to UCSF), and never, not once contact UCDF TO CONFIRM THEY GOT THE INFORMATION AND ITS IN THE PROPER CHANNELS??2 months since the referral was made, I get sicker by the day. Word to the reader, the referral department will call you, will not leave a detailed message but will ask you to call them. When you do, don't be surprised when the person answering the phone claims to have no idea why you are calling!! When I asked the same guy who I had spoken to the day before and was returning his call, he claimed that had no idea what I was talking about and told me "just keep calling them" WTF?!?! If they don't have the referral information repeatedly calling them WILL SOLVE NOTHING!!This is the only place where using the terms Provider, doctor of medical professionals is meaningless. I had to deal with the Director of the Larkspur clinic for a couple of months, this is the guy who is supposed to be accountable!! Every month he messed up my meds (same thing every 30 days), he tried to blame it on the pharmacy and when I phoned to attempt to learn where the problem was in order to correct it, the arrogant POS hung up on me. Words are meaningless MCC, actions betray intent!!The incompetence among this clinic is staggering and I hope the Feds read all of these complaints. And maybe I will either go on a hunger strike or call legal aid. I believe this is called delay of care!!
I have been going to this clinic for years and since covid when they actually closed completely down for nearly three months which put my life at risk the lack of compassion and empathy since then has only gotten worse to the point where I am now leaving beware of doctors and staff that do not listen or care care and give you medicines that cause damage and pain
They do their best, I'm sure, but it's almost impossible to get through the phone lines to make an appointment. The referrals always take forever, and you're lucky if you even get one. Some doctors are better than others-with some of them it seems like they take pride in denying you a referral to a specialist. It's crazy.
Apparently the Marin Community Clinics has a new building so for those of you who may not know and have been long-term patients or are new to the Marin Community Clinics they now have another clinic. The clinic is at 1260 S. Eliseo, suite 210. Greenbrae. This clinic is not far away from the Larkspur clinic. It is situated in a building upstairs... they do have elevator access for those of you who are other-abled. Suggestions to the clinic. Turn down the elevator music you are pumping into the waiting room. It is too loud and frankly, obnoxious. Secondly, could you hire friendlier people for occupying the front desk? I had to use the restroom urgently. The woman GATEKEEPER was going to deny me access flat out, then decided to ask me twenty questions before allowing me access to the restroom. SERIOUSLY?!?!!!!Even non patients ought to be allowed to use the restroom, the clinic gets public dollars and ought to be more amicable to the general public. If you need to have an M.A. escort them to and from the bathroom if you have security concerns, just as MarinHealth Medical Center does (quite frankly the over-hyped security concerns are laughable since when the founding fathers were drafted the Declaration of Independence, their enemies were armed to the teeth, living down the street and more than likely dating colonists daughters).Might I suggest a daily dose of YouTube videos featuring British and/or Australian First Responders, they know how to treat their patients with empathy, dignity and respect. Learn and then apply liberally.
I would love to be able to thank the staff at MCC, but when monthly medications are not called in, when I get four phone calls in one day making appointments which are then cancelled the same day because of a lack of attention to detail, when physicians behave unprofessionally and I have to ask four people to please follow up on something which I then must call back about more than two days without anything getting done to secure a resolution, it becomes more than tiresome. I almost want to send you a bill for all the time I have to take getting things dealt with which should have been handled right the first time. I soooooo dislike confirming with more than one person that and order went in only to learn I might as well have been talking to my cat.I can not wait for the day when the professionalism and quality of care is as high as when Linda Tavasi was CEO. You must know things are bad when an employee tells a patient they had to take a day off just to avoid the stress of not getting the support from the support staff they need to do their job efficiently and effectively and then that employee ends up going to work elsewhere, in this environment both employees and patients suffer as a result. When is it okay for a staff member to call a patient to learn what body part needs x-rays because the physician did not write that on the order??It's heartbreaking and sickening and I would love nothing better than quality health care. Talk is cheap these days, it's action that betrays intent. What does this say about the quality of care here?
This place should be considered a 4 th world medical treatment place u should go to only as a last resort, . The doc's there Like Doug Lim n Dr Akashi are good/knowledgeable and helpful but the Hispanic billing admin staff is lazy ( play on their I phones), overworked and inattentive to others in real pain- they have an indifferent attitude as if u are " putting them out or inconveniencing them when you ask for service. I had records transferred from Adventist health in CL and they lost ( claimed that they never received them) them not to mention my MRI findings/report. I ended up having to go to clear Lake n hand deliver mt digital x ray Disc directly to them. I have been waiting for almost 2 months to get a referral to an ortho for my LB disc condition they so smugly have "blown off". If u are an immigrant then no problem getting in but other then Caveat Emptor U are better off paying more but going to Kaiser or Sutter. I can see why the ratings speak for themselves!
