My mother had both eyes cataract surgery done with Dr Hecht. And she was so happy and told me this was like life-change events for her. Dr Hecht and his team were very professional, and patient. Dr Hecht did through exam and explained to her what options she had. My mother was almost blind even with glasses. After the surgery, she doesn't need prescription glasses for distance. Thank you so much Dr Hecht and your team for taking care of my mother. Highly recommend Dr. Hecht!!!!!!

I feel so fortunate to have such a great eye doctor located near me in Lawndale. The staff are all good people who treat each patient with courtesy and respect. Dr. Hecht is a great doctor who restored the sight in my right eye when it was nearly gone. My lens implant (cataract surgery) is only one day old and it's like I'm a child again. I can see better now than ever before thanks to his expertise. Everything is bright and clear for the first time in many years. A big thank you to Dr. Hecht and everyone at the Hecht Eye Institute! I would highly recommend him for your eye care needs.

Every time you make a appointment you are in there form 2-3 hours. Staff needs to schedule better. They over book and have people waiting for hours.

Its been almost a year since my Lasik eye surgery and all I can say is THANK YOU Dr. Hecht . Within hours I could see perfectly . I spent 23 years wearing contact lenses and even more wearing glasses and I really don't know why I waited too long to do it. I really didn't know I was missing.

Please Stay away from Dr Hecht!!! I wish I had read the reviews first. He only cares about money and he convinces you to do any eye procedures without even explaining it or tell you the cost associated! Then the office surprises you with an expensive bill! I have done LASIK 10 years ago and it has come back a little bit and I have dry eyes issue since then, Dr Hecht was trying so hard to convince me to do another LASIK knowing my condition!! No wonder his office was so empty every time I showed up. He is also so rude to his assistants.

Been coming here for years, and have always had a pleasant experience. Recently decided to move forward with lasik eye surgery with Dr.Hecht and could not be more satisfied. The pre-screening moved quickly and I felt reassured in moving forward after my consultation as all potential risks and expectations were thoroughly discussed. The operation itself was smooth and painless, and it seems I can finally see 20/20 if not better! If you are considering lasik I highly recommend going with Dr.Hecht.

This is a joke! Went in for a minor eye lid swollen and redness issue. First I spent more time filling up paperwork than being examined... Second, he was more interested in how I found out about him than my actual problem. Also, both staff and the doctor are not wearing gloves even though they touch your face. Doctor Hecht at some point went to blow his noise and came back with the used tissue ...

I recently had cataract surgery performed by Dr. Matthew Hecht and was extremely pleased with the outcome. He carefully went over the condition of my eyes and what type of lens are available. When I made my decision he and his staff went over the procedure and what to expect. The surgery was painless as the follow up appointments.

My family has been seeing Dr. Matthew for a number of years now. We would highly recommend him as an Ophthalmologist . He is very educated, and has many years of experience. The office staff is warm, efficient and courteous. He has done a great job meeting our eye care needs, and has been able to take care of our often very complex issues.Vicky Tanner
