Sean Thomas's Online Review Report Card

A number of years ago, Dr. Thomas took over the practice of the beloved Dr. Greg Baron. It has been a disaster ever since. His Aliso Viejo office has gone through multiple staff changes and the current receptionist is the rudest person I have ever spoken to. I have 3 meds that I have been taken for nearly 20 years. I have always gotten 4, 90 pill refills so I get through a year between check-ups. Now, I am only given 2 refills and the receptionist demands that I see the Dr. in order to get any more refills. It is ridiculous and I am looking for another primary provider.

My wife and I continued coming here for years after the retirement and tragic death of Dr. Barron. The current physician/owner Sean Thomas splits his time at his other practice in 29 Palms but doesn't seem to have strong office management on site in Aliso Viejo. We've recently found a new GP at nearby Mission Heritage Family Medical and we're both very happy with the care and responsive service there.

I have been seeing Dr. Thomas for years and have always been happy with my care.

I came to Dr. Thomas by default when Dr. Barron (who was wonderful) passed away and he purchased the business. I hung in there for a few years because it was a pain to change and the staff was great, especially the receptionist. I ran out of my blood pressure medicine a few weeks back, the pharmacy called me and told me he wouldn't renew. The doctor's office never called me. I called to make an appointment and got this new receptionist. She was rude. I told her I ran out of medication. She said they had to see me in person but didn't have an appointment for three weeks. I made the appointment and asked if they could refill like 10 pills until it got in. She said absolutely not. I asked if I could talk to the doctor, she said absolutely not. Luckily my pharmacist is wonderful and gave me 10 pills despite them and I just got back from my new Primary Care doctor who is wonderful. DON"T GO HERE.Also when Dr. Thomas saw me the year before he asked me why I was on Metformin and I explained I go to an Endocrinologist and I am pre-diabetic. He said "oh, they just give that to you to look younger". The guy is in bad shape and shouldn't be practicing.

Lily is Dr. Thomas' receptionist & she disgusting, a lunatic sociopath & discriminatory. Maria, the office manager is incompetent & is currently in civil ligitation for a medical malpractice lawsuit & emotional distress. Winston Rudder, the Physician Assistant is an incompetent moron. Avoid this physician at all costs.

The old receptionist they had was lovely and Friendly (if a little scatter brained some times, but honestly same) but she and this other guy receptionist/nurse were really the only nice things about this place. The new receptionist/nurse is super cold and rude, not helpful at all. Also, I have to come here quite often for my medication refills and different consultations but the Dr never really seems to understand what's going on. Never asks me for clarification on stuff or anything a normal Dr would do when I try and describe any symptoms or issues I'm having with my medication. Quite literally the least helpful Dr I've ever been to (and I've seen way more drs than I'd like to). Currently trying to see if my insurance will be gracious enough to let me switch my GP from here to somewhere else

His office now has a new receptionist (May 2021) who is rude and no mannerism at all. I was just diagnosed with Diabetes and my prescription was not called in. He needs to find a front office person who can handle customer care. I asked her, if she was the only person working there right now that could help me? Her answer was , "Yes, do you have a problem with it!" Sadly, I guess I will have to look for a new doctor.

There are far too many options to choose from when it comes to a primary care doctor. Pick a name out of a hat, you'll be far better off than stepping foot here. The receptionist "Lily", lacks any resemblance of professionalism. Everything about her conduct towards patients in person or on the phone is contrary to even the smallest standard of courtesy. Unfortunately I don't believe that management is unaware, they simply don't care. Go anywhere else.

Receptionist is a joke nasty and stupid (there are two of them and one is good) the doctor is not present and just has a series of physicians assistants that don't know anything and just refer out. Waste of time and money no thanks I will be going elsewhere for some reason this whole place feels like a scam.
