From my personal experience I can highly recommend Dr Shannon. She has not only provided me with excellent healthcare, but also my Mom. She is caring, listens to her patients and understands a patient’s needs and does her best to meet each one, even if it takes time. I’ve read the other comments posted. Obviously it would be nice to have perfect doctors, but they are humans, too. That’s why we have a voice to speak up. Especially a doctor as busy as Dr Shannon, I believe deserves some slack. Prescriptions are reviewed by pharmacists and would catch any listed contraindications. I fully put my trust in her for me and my Mom’s care. My Mom loves her and my Mom grew up not going to doctors and not liking many of them! Having said all this, sometimes it takes time to find a good fit. What matters most is feeling comfortable.

I am writing this review to hopeful help people when trying to choose a doctor. The appointment was for a physical. I felt as those she was in a rush to finish. I had other health concerns that seemed not important. It was more as if I was a assignment that need to be checked off, so she could move to her next task. I understand that doctors are busy but I have never had one that made me feel like my concerns did not matter.

Dr. Shannon was great during my appointment, she listened to what I had to say and addressed all my ongoing issues. She also performed a complete physical on my first appointment and gave out all the referrals I needed in a timely manner. So far so good I have no complaints.

Due to insurance change I started seeing Dr. Shannon 1 year ago. Dr. Shannon is professional, kind, and listens to you. I am so greatful that Dr. Shannon was able to help me get my cholesterol under control with a low dose statin that I could finally tolerate. Unfortunately, something my prior provider was unable to do over 7 years prior. Dr. Shannon provides education to help you make informed health decisions that can make a huge difference to your life.

Dr. Karen Shannon is a great doctor. I have been with her for over 20+ years. She had provided excellent care to me. She makes sure I am always up to date with my medicine, physical and my well being. I love her and would not go to anyone else but her. I have recommended several of my friends and family members to her.

She tried to issue me a prescription that would affect my potassium level. I denied the prescription because it is noted in my medical records that I have an issue with low potassium. In addition, she displayed verbal disrespect with my Internal Medicine physician
