I had an appt with Dr Manish Prasad Shrestha yesterday. I had absolutely no problem being told that there was only one doctor that day - they were short staffed. But, as many, being nervous about my second colonoscopy, the last thing I want to say is ‘I don’t think I’m supposed to be awake for this’. Who or what doctor would find this anything but a serious request to help the patient, instead? I got a very painful procedure & then Dr Shrestha writes/documents ‘patient was in pain’ on my results. Yes, you bet I was. So I truly don’t understand since this was my second colonoscopy and several endoscopy’s and never had to say those words and never had to endure being my own advocate during a procedure. It seemed to me, although I waited patiently for the Dr who was running late due to scheduling at the hospital (as per the staff at Riverside RUHS), once the doctor began, somebody was in a hurry. If my dentist can cut into my jaw bone for implants without me feeling a thing, why can’t Dr Shrestha provide a procedure with less or no pain. I wouldn’t recommend this doctor and hope others read this while finding a doctor for their colonoscopy. I didn’t wait for hours to be in a horror flick.
