List of Carl Schlosser's Reviews
I wish he was still with Central Coast Medical. Lompoc Health Center is too chaotic. He seems sad when I see him, don't feel like he's listening to what I say.
I would go less if i could beleive me! I have requested lab work to find out what is ailing my knee and thigh`s. first time i was told to take ibuprofin for the pain. I returned a month later asking for lab work again was refused and was then scheduled for an m.r.i. which showed negative. Next attempt i was told to go to a knee specialist after getting an xray again still negative. today tried again to get lab work, again was told he didn`t think it would help and recommended another M.R.I. at this point i am done with carl schlosser i explained to tracy his assistant i need to find an actual Doctor!! I guess lab work doesn`t pay enough is my opinion.
Dr. Schlosser has always treated me with respect and kindness, he has been my primary doctor for years and im always happy to see him.
Is very hard to get through for scheduling an appointment
My Mom was experiencing some back pain & during one of her many doctor visits to get established after moving to live w/her daughter – she was x-ray’d & it was found that she’d fractured her back (possibly more than once). Apparently from a fall, possibly the fall that broke her femur back in Oct 2019 or who the heck knows, not the point really - WHAT IS THE POINT is that THIS fracture went “unnoticed” during her numerous visits to you & during her 3mth rehab stay after surgery for her femur break & subsequent surgery in Oct 20. I was told by her care-giver, Heather, that after one particular fall a couple months ago (after being released from the rehab facility on Feb. 1st) Mom was in to see you re: getting it check out. Heather said that “I asked Dr Schlosser twice for x-rays & he said that there was not enough evidence to need it.” REALLY!!???? Apparently THERE WAS evidence that was over looked!!!!
He didn't listen, didn't acknowledge, wouldn't look me in the eye and was very dismissive. I let the front desk know we would like to switch physicians and she told me that she had to send an email to both physicians and if the doctor we requested refused to see me, then most likely the current physician would refuse to take me back as a patient. How insensitive is that?! Stay out of Lompoc people. They're here because bigger cities wouldn't take them.
At first, he was attentive and thorough. After being a patient for a year and a half, his nurse called me to tell me that he refused to back up his referral that he wrote, would not be ordering tests that I needed, and refused to give a second opinion of the tests that I already had done. Disappointed to say the least.
I have been seeing Dr. Schlosser for 3 years now and he has delivered two of my children. He has always taken his time with me and been very sensitive to my needs.
I was assigned Doctor Schlosser as my primary physican when my other Doctor left for other areas. I have made a few visits to him and really was not very impressed. However, on my visit in October 2009 I informed Dr. Schlosser of some health problems, one of which was no engry and having a problem breathing. Doctor Schlosser scheduled me for a stress test within a day. As a result of the stress test, within 5 days I had open heart surgrey. The heart specialist informed my wife that I was a ticking time bomb and could of have had a fatal heart attack at any time. I had 5 blocked alterties, so needless to say I am now impressed with Dr. Schlosser and will not change.
I went to him for a work physical he was rather nice. I believe he is also a OB/GYN for you ladies out there.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
