Lloyd Trujillo's Online Review Report Card

My IUD expired after 5 years and I didn't have a doctor in Lompoc yet, so I was assigned to Dr. Trujillo. He is obviously very experienced because he removed the old IUD and replaced it in a way that was MUCH less painful than the last time I needed this procedure done. He was quick (but not too quick) so that everything was as painless as possible - not a long, gruelling process like it was with my last doctor. He explained everything as he did it and checked my new IUD placement with an ultrasound afterwards to make sure it was perfect. He even did my pap exam during the same visit, and that was also super easy. I am very relieved that he is my OB-GYN now!

First time having a baby. Dr. Trujillo was recommended so I went to him. He is friendly and pretty laid back, easy to talk to. He’s experienced and really knows what he’s doing. He’s not controlling with your plans at all - he will honor whatever it is that you want to do. When I was in labor, he personally checked in on me consistently. And when the time came, he delivered the baby flawlessly. I am so thankful for Dr. Trujillo.

Dr. Trujillo is extremely kind, caring, and professional. He took the time to look into my symptoms and found a diagnosis for my issues. He listened empathetically and explained everything in detail. He performed a minor surgery and kept me and my husband apprised every step of the way. He even held my hand while they put me under. I’m extremely grateful I was under Dr. Trujillo’s care!

Dr Trujillo treated my ectopic pregnancy in January at the North Bay medical center. I really appreciate his insistence to see me instead of being sent home again. Truly saved my life because I wasn't going to go back if I was sent home for a second time. -k.boutelle

This man is a very kind doctor . He has a wonderful bedside manner and a great sense of humor .yes it is a long wait sometimes , the reason is that he spends time with his patients and also there are times he is delivering a baby . He listened to me and was helpful . Being a retired nurse for an OB . I understand his schedule . Babies don't have a schedule, so when they come Dr Trujillo has to deliver. I see the negative reviews here and it makes me angry . These people have to realize they are not the only People that he sees. If you are patient and want a good attentive knowledgeable Dr . Then this is the place to go

I can't attest to some of the ratings. I am writing purely on his behavior. A friend of mine and I went to their first open house in Lompoc, for which the public was invited. As a patient of Sansum, I received an invitation by mail. At the open house they served alcohol, kinda a little surprising I thought for an OBGYN open house. I am surprised Sansum would allow this. I drove and my friend was pregnant so we opted out of a drink. When we met Dr. Trujillo, he was immediately quite proud of himself and more interested in what he had to say than about a potential patient. Once my friend told him how many children she had, he looked her up and down and said "really," with a smug arrogant tone. I was immediately turned off by his behavior and knew he wasn't the OBGYN for me. So disappointing that we don't have more choices in Lompoc, but I would rather drive the distance than feel violated by such an arrogant doctor.
