List of Lompoc Health-Urgent Care's Reviews
Minus 1000 folks. Please if you ever listen to a stranger, please do so now. If you are on Medicare insurance through the government, 99% of recipients NEVER NEVER NEVER are required by the Primary Doctor to seek a referral for specific/Special care : ie: Cardiology, etc. The Company staff is telling Medicare patients that they must have a referral by the Primary Dr in order for Medicare to approve the expense. I'm investigating with several agencies now, but I believe there is a kick back system taking place between the Drs for profit. I fired my Dr at the beginning of the year because they provide no service since he relocated, the staff doesn't understand scheduling and clients needs and it's a disaster. I have been trying for 4 days to see another Dr for a heart condition and due to the Lompoc health neglect,Medicare has informed me many times that I can see any specialist I choose without approval from my Primary Dr. Another Dr./cardiologist office here in town are requiring the referral and claims Medicare requires it as well. This is FALSE AND I am a social service advocate. I don't like elderly being abused by agencies that know how to take advantage of weakness. Shame on you Lompoc health and my former Dr. You May see newspaper articles soon if unethical business practices don't stop. Ps- Department of Justice, BBB, State attorney general and Governor do look at illegal practices that are on the rise due to inflation. Watch your billing as well. I've had problems with them regarding incorrect coding and charges as well. Unfortunately, Lonpoc Valley Medical May do in a pinch, but Sansum Santa Barbara, Cottage, Santa Barbara or Marian Medical Santa Maria are the only valid care facilities in the county. Santa Ynez has Cottage also. So very sad that our population of 50,000 people need to drive several hours because the care in my little home town is no longer available. I wish the community had the power to shut all the inefficient, unethical businesses down and open one very nice community hospital. We deserve that. We pay for that, not them. They're making tons off of us, especially Medicare. Do you understand that Medicare actually pays more to Drs than many insurance company's Unfortunately LVMC has no oversight and own a majority of care facilities so they can make their own rules. Including Lompoc Health. You all know it's LVMC, right? THEY own The Comprehensive Care Center on N Third street. Does Lompoc know that they have over 100 beds for care at $11,000 and more per bed per month totaling over $1 million a month??? My relative was there 2 1/2 years and I almost filed a lawsuit for negligence. They only bathed him once a week. Great huh? And this business is owned and run the same way. Scary for Lompoc. Staff are just waiting for their $15 an hour paycheck and refuse to do anymore than extremely necessary. To these folk I must say, go crawl back under that rock and let someone do the job that cares and understands the work and service they need to provide. Yes Covid was and is tough, but if you're no longer able to provide needed services, please close and allow new business and staff in your place. You're not saving lives kids, you're destroying them and it's not ok!!!
24 hour wait. You need to set an appointment before you need urgent care. The receptionist told me the definition of urgent is 24 hours. On top of that, there were three cars parked outside.

Staff was friendly and attentive. Provider Kyle answered my questions and took his time in educating me on what he believed was going on, how it would be treated and the process going forward.
This review is for Dr. Angie Song. Please stay away from this so called Dr. Song. Please please do not even consider going to her. She will leave you in worse shape than you started with. I have no feeling in my face 2 yrs after she operated on me. Also please read her reviews on her from years ago about her court record.
Dr. Yasmin Golan is a POS My daughter was feeling sick, sinus pressure, stuffy nose, mild fever. Upon examining her, Dr. Golan states "she has a cold virus". She prescribed a decongestant. I ask for a note for school. She tells me the school will only except it with negative covid test, knowing she does not have covid, but a head cold. There is even a Box to check on the clerance to return to school form that states an acute illness with limited transmissibility is the case, covid 19 testing is not indicated and the student can return to school, but Dr. Golan lied. I left the office and returned once I saw what she had done, she refused to talk to me. She sent a office aid to talk to me. The offered for.me.to speak to the office manager, to which I asked is the office manager a doctor? The answer was NO, so I replied what good does it do to talk to the office manager if they aren't a doctor. Do not go here. Just check the right box, don't be a lying POS.
I developed severe infections on both feet and legs and a temperature of 104.2. Yesterday my daughter drove me to the Urgent Care facility, and since some of my symptoms were similar to COVID (I've had both vaccination shots), we were told to drive around back and a nurse would meet us there. In a few minutes we were escorted into an exam room at the back. Dr. Jaspal Dhaliwal examined my legs, then called in another doctor to confirm his diagnosis. They then developed a treatment plan which included strenuous cleaning of the affected areas, treatment with topical antibiotics and an injection of antibiotics. The nurse who carried out these treatments, whose name I believe is Kylie, was very thorough, professional and personable. The entire stay lasted a bit less than an hour and everyone involved was very knowledgeable and professional. Today my temperature is back to almost normal and the infections have already shown signs of subsiding. I am very pleased with the treatment I received at the Urgent Care facility.
I was very disappointed and left very upset from here Dr. Jonas didn't even acknowledge why I came to urgent care the only thing he did was immediately lecture me on the covid vaccine and refused to drop the conversation and actually discus what was happening with me. He had a very selfish agenda which he stated he has been going up to everyone's cars today lecturing on the vaccine and pushing something that didn't even pertain to my care. I have been feeling dizzy and needed some tests done to figure it out but he walked away and did nothing for me. The way he handled his agenda was extremely unprofessional. It was already stated by the nurse I didn't need to be covid tested and she was sure it wasn't covid. Would never go back or recommend to anyone else. Worst part is he's just collecting a paycheck and not actually doing his job. He's being bias against anyone that doesn't have his beliefs. He took an oath as a doctor and isn't fulfilling that. I've never been so disappointed and disrespected..
So I am utterly disgusted at Dr. Jonas and what he said was a “cure” at my husband. He talked at my husband and there’s a sign there about his weight not his condition he was complaining about. Dr. Jonus is not qualified in baratrics or patients. That is not a way to motivate anyone.
One of the receptionists, Pam, was very professional and helped me with an insurance nightmare.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
