My mom broke her femur and Dr. Rooney did her surgery. It has been over a week and a half since her surgery, and we have yet to hear from Dr. Rooney. He is horrible at communication and will not call my mom or family and let us know how long she has to stay off of her right leg, how severe or mild the break of the femur was, post op care, etc. He also did not do a referral for physical therapy which she was told she needed by the P.T. at the hospital. PCP sent us back to Rooney for referral, but Dr. Rooney does not call his 84-year-old patient or her family back. We have tried numerous times for him to contact us. We have questions that are serious for her healing! Please know that this is the way he treated an elderly woman who was at his mercy for a fall that left her femur broken! We shall continue to spread the word!! My dad was a doctor in Lompoc for over 42 years and I thank God he was not here to witness such disrespect from a physician. My dad called patients back!!

What a nightmare! Where do I begin... Dr. Rooney did surgery on my mom's broken femur. Never once has he returned our phone calls since she got home pleading to know how bad the break was, her aftercare, etc. No referral was made to P.T. as he and Lompoc Hospital stated they were going to do. She's been lying in bed, unable to move for over a week now. Still no contact from Dr. Rooney as he let his staff simply tell my mom that she will now need to be seen face to face in order to get the referral for P.T. She's 84 years old for goodness sakes. Now in order to know what he did and what we as a family should be doing to make her stronger and healthy again, we shall get the records from the hospital. What poor medical the elderly and those on Medicare get these days!

He did an L-2 through S-1 spinal fusion on my old 70 year old back. Big surgery, excellent outcome. Knows his stuff! Very pleasant and well informed.
