Highest regards to Dr. Gashtasbi and the team! World class care and excellent communication! If you are on the fence for a screening - don’t wait!
Took very goodn care of my husband
WHAT AN EXCEPTIONAL DR!! VERY INTELLIGENT DR!! The overall visit definitely gets five stars. If I could put 10 Stars I would! The staff as well as the doctor. Even the anesthesiologist was overwhelmingly, compassionate and caring and to me that's very important. Even though I had been through this before, he was compassionate and explained fully after I came out of anesthesia and he explained everything that he did and his findings!! He's an excellent doctor and I would have no problem referring anybody that I know that definitely needs a gastroenterologist! I've been to several and I know when I've gotten a good doctor and when I need to move on and find another and he is definitely a GREAT DR.!! THE STAFF TRULY GOES OUT OF THEIR WAY AND MAKES YOU FEEL AS COMFORTABLE AS POSSIBLE THEY WERE ALL ABSOLUTELY THE BEST AND SO COMPASSIONATE!!THANK YOU ALL!!!
Entire experience was exceptional. Good support staff and Dr G was very thorough with blood tests and exam. Highly recommend. Am sending family members to same doctor.
This Dr provided exceptional care and even called on a holiday weekend to change a RX that wasn't covered by my insurance. He was very compassionate and explained medical facts throughly. He met with family member after surgery and answered all questions. After many traumatic medical experiences, I was fearful but this Dr was reassuring and so caring. The office staff was also very helpful and promptly returned calls when there were concerns.
Just had to have an Endoscopy, it was performed by Dr. Goshtasbi. From pre-op to post-op everything went very well. I would defiantly recommend Dr. Goshtasbi to my family and friends.
Doesn’t see you as a person only as a number
When Dr Gostashbi (I’ll refer to him as G) diagnosed me with PBC he stated, “In the 20 years of my experience, I’ve never had a patient like you”. That should have been my red light but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. There are a few issues I had with this Dr., however, the one that gave me no other choice to sever ties with him was I told him at past appointments that something wasn’t right with me. I was not sleeping at night, couldn’t concentrate at work, foggy brain, said things that weren’t making sense, dropping things for no reason, but above all else - dozing off at the wheel. I drive 35 mikes to and from work and almost crashed 2xs. As I further continued doing my own research, I dicovered the condition that was causing all of this: Hepatic Encephalopathy (HE). It was a week before the Dr called me and said I needed to go to ER because of very high bilirubin in my blood. It was then that I asked him f he had ever heard of HE and he said why do you ask? I told him was 99% sure I had this and I said. Told you months ago and you never did anything about it. He said I definitely had it and I can no longer drive. Are you kidding me!!!! And then I asked him at another appointment if there was any special diet I should be on and he said no. I said well when I was in the hospital, they had me on a low sodium diet. He then said, oh yes stay away from salt and bybthe way...don’t eat raw fish, sushi, oysters etc. it’s not good for me due to high mercury. Well now what if I loved sushi and ate it every day for the past 10 months? SMH! Dr. G in my opinion should not be in the profession he is in when it comes to rare liver disease. I felt he did NOT have m best interest at heart and I was just a number to him. I took it upon myself to seek other professional Drs and am truly blessed that UCLA is in-Network and have already started the process of getting me on the donor list. If you have a MELD score >10, don’t wait. Look into further treatment right away. I was at 18 and Dr G still was “waiting”. For what!! Nobody else is going to take care of me but me, and I am so happy I made this move. This could have been a life saving decision on my part. I never ever have given a professional review on anybody. However, this horrible experience was worth every single second I put into writing this review. It could be I save someone else’s life. Best to you if you are suffering from any health issues and may God bless you and get you thru it...

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
