I hope they are nice to people who live there. I didn’t have much time with grandparents growing up and I just wanted to volunteer, I usually volunteer for orphanage and kids. But this was very close to where I was, so I went in asked them, but the lady was rude and was in shock and then I just said happy new year and left and she started laughing that I even came to volunteer. Moe acts like cant be bothered to get pkgs when asked out of lobby for residents. If you have probs they give you attitude. Weekend receptionist acts like she does not understand you even if you rephrase 3 ways what an issue is. Ask their name and they immediately want to know who you are only time they act concerned with outside family

Nice facility. Shari who works here is extremely amazing. She is polite and very helpful. She’s great with my dad and my family and I love her!

Our mom was there for more than 3 months. I don't recommend it. Did not offer 24 hour visiting; it was a real struggle or impossible to get her any food outside their scheduled dining hours; when she had to be fed, she was fed too fast; they lost some of her personal belongings; it's a facility run for profit.

A very nice place with friendly, helpful, and caring staff.

The lady that works in the front Lizette is the most sweetest lady i had ever met and she takes very well care of my grandmother.May god bless her heart and soul. Thank you so much. This place is the best and have people who really do care about your mothers, grandmothers.

My mom was admitted to Brittany House on a doctor's recommendation that she be in a memory care facility.  I had asked for a bed by the window.  They assigned her to a room by the door.  There are several separated areas for different levels of dementia.  They put my mom in the third level ( I think there are 4, with 1 being the least amount of dementia).  When I was moving her in, I was appalled at the disconnect between the staff and the residents.  I was dissatisfied with her room assignment so they reassigned her to a window room in Level 2.  Okay....that was better.  My mom was devastated, as was I.  When I knelt on the floor to talk to her, my knee was soaked with who knows what....I was sad to have her here.....and something just didn't seem right.  I visited her weekends and during the week after work and would call her everyday.  She would just cry to get her out of there.....my heart was breaking.  She had a scheduled rehab  nurse coming to see her and that nurse was the one who confirmed to me that 'your mom doesn't belong there'.  That's all I needed to hear. I moved her out after 2 weeks and I would have moved her sooner but her new place couldn't take her yet.  I am attributing her 'slight dementia' to all the pain medications she was on...and after her move we were so much happier.The food served to the residents did not appear very nutritious.  How about a hot dog and a bowl of baked beans where you can't see the beans?  I ate dinner with her one evening and it was terrible.  My complaint here is that someone in administration or from the staff should be able to evaluate the residents to see who is supposed to be here and who should be recommended to find a better fit somewhere else.  I assume it's because it is a business and they want your money....and it's VERY expensive.  So, my recommendation is that you truly check out the places you are looking to put a loved one.  Follow your instincts.  If it is unsettling, then it isn't the right place.  For some, it could be the perfect place....just not for my mom.  She has gone to heaven now, but this experience still haunts me....I guess after 2 years I feel like I need to share.

A place of angels.My wife has such an improved quality of life since she has been at Brittany House. I do believe that the caregivers and staff are really angels in disguise given how they care for my wife and the other residents.
