I was shot by a crazy stranger. I thought I was dead but I woke up at Long Beach memorial after a long surgery where I was save by Dr. Khoynezhad and others. I am so lucky to be alive right now and i am grateful for all the help and things Dr. k has done for me. I will never forget and not thank god for everything he's done when I pray
Khoynezhad was a cardiothoracic surgeon employed by Cedars-Sinai who was known prior to the Paxton death to practice what has been testified to by the hospital staff as “cowboy medicine,” according to the suit. “In Khoynezhad’s quest to generate more surgeries and higher numbers, he continued to push the envelope and pushed to do surgeries on cases that were marginal at best…,” the suit states. "The family of the late actor Bill Paxton has agreed to settle a wrongful death lawsuit against a Los Angeles hospital and the surgeon who performed his heart surgery shortly before he died in 2017, according to a court filing Friday. The suit, filed against Cedars-Sinai Medical Center more than four years ago, had been scheduled to go to trial next month. But attorneys for Paxton's wife of 30 years, Louise, and their two children, James and Lydia, filed a notice in Los Angeles Superior Court that they had agreed to settle the case. The cause was a stroke that came 11 days after surgery to replace a heart valve and repair aorta damage, according to his death certificate. The lawsuit, filed a year later, alleged that the surgeon, Dr. Ali Khoynezhad, used a "high risk and unconventional surgical approach" that was unnecessary and that he lacked the experience to perform, and that he downplayed the procedure's risks. The misguided treatment caused Paxton to suffer excessive bleeding, cardiogenic shock and a compromised coronary artery, the suit alleged, and said that Cedars-Sinai knew that Khoynezhad, tended to "engage in maverick surgeries and show suboptimal judgment."
He has most thorough knowledge of my conditions and explains the pros znd cons of different approaches. This helps me to make an informed decision.
my mother and I experienced a welcoming/clean environment, professional doctor and staff, friendly, knowledgeable, can't complain, I gave them a 10
loved the way he explained what was going to be done and actually showed us the material that is going to be used.We REALLY appreciated it.
Dr. Khoynezhad has great bedside manner’s makes you feel comfortable. He’s very thorough and answered all our questions.
After at least 5 tests my cardiologist at the time referred me to have an angiogram procedure. He estimated that one of my heart arteries was at least 70% blocked. The angiogram went forward for only a brief time as it was discovered that 2 of my three of my heart arteries were 100% blocked. Dr. Kohonezhad was available to join my case immediately. I had open heart triple bypass surgery shortly after. Dr. K was extremely professional, met with me every day after the surgery. In addition his team of other doctors and NP were outstanding. The post operative visits have all been excellent. His office staff has been very proactive scheduling follow up appointments and are alwasy courteous and professional. I hope no one needs his services but I would trust my life to this doctor.
On September 3, 2021, Dr. Ali Khoynezhad performed coronary artery bypass surgery on me. I am eternally grateful to the doctor for his deep knowledge, professionalism, confidence in the success of the operation and positive support of the patient. I will recommend Dr. Ali Khoynezhad to my family, friends and acquaintances.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
