Very disappointed, and surprised at my last appointment. I had been under the care of Dr. Amir A. Pouradib for some time. I have had 3 spine surgeries and have been told I will need another. The last time I had an appointment to have an injection in my cervical spine with the Dr. I ask him why he stopped seeing me at my quarterly appointments. I now was seen by a physician’s assistant. He told me it was because my insurance provider Monarch was cheap and I could tell them so. I thought that was a bit unprofessional, but I was in pain and hoping the injection would work. I went ahead and got the injection in my cervical spine. My next appointment I was with a young physician’s assistant. She did not seem interested in my care from the onset. She said that I should find another pain doctor or get prescriptions from my primary care Dr or spine surgeon. )They both want me to see a pain specialist.). I was taken aback. I told this young PA I thought this was BS. I have a dangerous job as a welding inspector. I climb steel and it is dangerous so sleep is paramount. . I do not take pain medication daily. I take a pill a couple times a week to sleep through the night so I can be sharp and not have an injury. At 60 years old I need to get enough rest. I have never been dismissed by a Dr that has not retired or left my insurance group. Today I received a letter saying they will no longer provide me with care for aggressive behavior? They already told me they would not care for me. I would not recommend this Dr to anyone. Honestly I am happy to find a Dr that cares about his patients as much as his pocketbook. I did not think with someone is aggressive for being upset, disappointed and treated disrespectfully. I suppose they do.

Dr Pouradib is an excellent doctor of pain management!!! I’ve had the pleasure of his medical experience & practice during my multiple fusion surgeries and post surgery pain management! I highly recommend him!!

Dr. Pouradib is a trouble shooter and a compassionate doctor. He lends an empathetic ear while maintaining a sense of humor. I found Dr. Pouradib in 2016 prior to brain surgery and he stood with me as we went through the 2 year journey of figuring out what was going on. I 'graduated' and no longer needed pain management and a few years later found myself in another health crisis and turned to him again. I highly recommend him if you are needing help with pain management. I wish I could find a primary care as wonderful as he is.

Dr P has been My Guy for years & my only concern is that he will retire! I know he has 100s if patients (at Least) but even without my chart in front of him he knows What's What. He never discounts my knowledge of what's goin on with my body & my ever-fluctuating pain. My Best Quality of Life & Safe Pain meds are his priority. He LISTENS. Those of us in constant pain know what a blessing it is to find a Dr who doesn't discount our own assessments. His staff is kind & on-the-ball, even when it feels like pharmacies/insurance/etc. are conspiring against us. Do not dally...go see him and let him help you on your journey to a more measured, "normal" life. Cheers...Stacee
