Where to begin about Dr Andrew Wassef. I'll start by saying that I met Dr. wassef about a year ago and have heard nothing but great things about him and to be honest when I met him he seemed to good to be true.He is one of the most caring people that I have ever met and when waiting to get a hip replacement I had lost my place in a six month waiting list to get the work done and this was no fault of his or his staff who are also great.When everything finally got sorted out I was concerned that I would be waiting a further six months but I was told by his assistant that he wouldnt let that happen and I actually got in within two weeks because he remembered my plight.To finish he s a very caring man and a pleasure to talk with also as were all of the staff at Long Beach Memorial Hospital which was very reassuring because I had never been in hospital before in y 67 years on the planet so as you might imagine was a tad nervous.I am writing this a day after surgery and although It will take a while to get over the surgery I am so very happy that the work was done by this caring physician.Thank you Dr. Wassef.Regards,Doug.

Dr. Wassef is an amazing surgeon. Very attentive and kind. The best decision I made was having him do my total knee replacement!!

Dr. Wassef is AMAZING! He is so kind and caring, I’ve never meet a Dr like him. His whole team is the BEST! I feel so blessed that I was able to have him do my hip revision. He did a fantastic job, much much better than I had expected. I had my first hip replacement done 4 months prior at Hoag Hospital, it dislocated twice after 4 months of healing and PT. Nightmare!! But I found Dr Wassef and now I have confidence that I will have my active life back. I can’t thank Him enough!!!

Need a new hip?? STOP! GO DIRECTLY TO DR. WASSEF! I was not an easy case. Lots of prior surgeries and scar tissue. He was so excited to fix me... and he did an AMAZING job. SUPER easy surgery, he has a great staff around him and I felt loved even during this pandemic! His nurse texted me daily for support, he reached out to make sure I was good. He gave me my life back and made the entire experience WELL WORTH IT! Please see him before you consider anyone else. He is simply the best there is.

Wassef is THE BEST!!! I’m sitting here 8 days after a partial knee replacement in minimal pain, and swelling. I had a physical therapist friend come check me out a few days post op, and she was stunned at how great my knee was. Had my post op eval with the place where I’ll be doing PT, and the therapist there said it’s the best she’s seen this soon after surgery. Aside from the actual surgery being an all around (and quite unexpected) great experience (how that’s even possible for a surgery 🤷🏻‍♂️) Dr Wassef himself is a really great, and personable professional. Talking with him is very easy, great bedside manner which having already had 4 other knee surgeries with 2 other surgeons, this is not the norm for surgeons in my experience. Not only that, but he gave me his own personal cel number in case I had any issues, I could just go straight to him and get things taken care of. He’s hit me up a few times since the surgery just to make sure I’m doing well. Also, he’s a funny dude, so that makes talking with him even easier. His staff has been great as well, working with me and my TERRIBLE insurance (I hate AppleCare...they’re garbage) to get everything pre surgery worked out. They’ve been very good about contacting me to make sure I’ve been doing good as well. It’s been a really great experience, and unfortunately I know I’ll need another partial on my other knee, but fortunately I can get that done through Wassef, so I’m not as worried about it as I was before I found him. Anyway, if you need a replacement, do not hesitate to go to Wassef, you will NOT regret it one bit.

Dr. Wassef is my hero. When I was about 6, I was diagnosed with a somewhat rare condition know as Perthes disease. 24 years later I had developed advanced osteoarthritis, among other complications. I’m lucky to have had such a great doctor take on my case. It’s been three weeks since I had my hip replacement , and after all these years, I’m finally pain free!!
