My son broke his neck and could have been paralyzed, but Dr. Farin operated on him and was able to stabilize it so he is no longer at risk of paralysis. She is an excellent and experieced surgeon. She gives you the best option for an optimal outcome. I will not hesitate to recommend her services in need of spinal surgery. I'm forever grateful for having her as my son's surgeon.
Abandon by this doctor while actively in her care and she referred me to an ER, when my medical insurance changed. Unprofessional by allowing staff in and out of my room, while I was partially undressed. When I was just discharged from the hospital, Dr. Farin utilized that time to confront me about an issue her staff had. Which turned out to be a misunderstanding on the staff's part. She changed practice without informing me prior to surgery and her new practice was out of network. I was labeled a problem patient on documents and not given a reason for the label when asked. I suspect it's due to advocating for my medical needs and seeking clarity. Months after surgery, I'm still dealing with complications.Overall, I'm traumatized by this whole thing. Worst part about it is that I traveled long distant for her services based on reviews. Glad to hear Dr. Farin has helped others. She failed in my case.
Okay let me first say Dr Farin an amazing surgeon who goes above and beyond for her patient. My own neurologist told meIf she had to have brain surgery she would only trust Dr Farin
Okay let me first say Dr Farin is an amazing surgeon and my surgery couldn’t have gone better. I woke up in ICU and was able to stand within hours of the surgery. Now the office is my issue. My home healthcare people contacted them multiple times regarding staples in my head that are still there as I sit here at 3:29pm for my 2:30pm appt. I have 2 issues first it’s been almost a month these things are in here and my head is leaking and after arriving and waiting they tell me if I want to go to the lobby of the hospital and see Dr Farin l. No I don’t is she gonna take the staples out in the lobby and have u seen my head and she said ok let me call her. Not only did she not come and tell me anything she then tells someone else I said I wanted toWait which is not what I said and the wait was allegedly 30 min almost an hour ago. That being said the longer I wait the madder I get the more reviews I can post and willl sit here as long as it takes to get these staples out and stop the leaking. However I shouldn’t have to. I didn’t make this appt it was asked of me to come in so I did. And since everyone here is aware of my condition they should be more respectful of my time.My 2nd issue when I sent an email about these same issues I get an email from James Wald asking me to come in on Thursday to inspect the wound and go over pathology DID U EVEN READ MY EMAIL??I’m not very happy right now and these people have to do better because as great a surgeon as Dr Farin is they are making her look real unprofessional.
I had spinal fusion & a lamectomy January 5th 2021. For 2 years prior, I could hardly walk or do anything I had enjoyed in life for 2 years prior to the surgery. 1 week after surgery, I could walk like I hadn't been able to for 2 years. I am now 6 weeks post surgery and I'm improving daily & am very hopeful. Dr. Farin did an amazing job. She is thorough, caring and I would definitely refer her to anyone! Thank you Dr. Farin for changing my life!
I originally was scheduled to be seen by another neurosurgeon for a possible laminectomy who I had a good experience with in the past but at the last minute he left the practice. I was referred to another neurosurgeon by my primary care doctor who after researching I was not comfortable with. I did my own research of neurosurgeons within my medical group and came across Dr. Farin who has incredibly positive reviews. When I am looking for a doctor I review mostly for their medical experience and after treatment success stories. I consulted with Dr. Farin and was extremely impressed with her attention to detail and time she spent with me discussing my options. At no time did she push to perform surgery and encouraged me to look at all my options. Since I had already had back surgery for stenosis and the X-rays and MRI showed that more had developed so I opted to have the laminectomy in July of 2020. The surgery went very well, and I was up and out of the hospital quickly. It is now January of 2021 and am 98% pain free and my quality of life is much so much better than prior to the surgery. I am my own dedicated advocate to receive the best care possible and do research my doctors and procedures until my comfort level is high and I believe that I am making the best decision for success. I highly recommend and Dr. Farin and will see her again if I develop in new stenosis. Thank You Dr. Farin...
