I wish I could leave a better review as the nurse who handled my intake at my first and only appointment was very friendly however this clinic along with any MD or NP operating it are medically negligent. I chose to come into Beach Cities Medical Weight Control as another nearby clinic had no open availability on the day I was available (I found out why after the fact). I was interested in tirzepatide shots again, from being recommended from another individual who has alo struggled with being overweight. I paid $600 for a month’s supply of the beginning dose and received my first shot in clinic being on a Thursday. By Saturday I was experiencing side effects at a severe level at which I couldn’t keep any food down. I decided to call the clinic as by my own research found zofran is often prescribed by providers along with other medications for those experiencing severe nausea/throwing up. The receptionist who answered the phone basically told me that the side effects I was experiencing were normal and upon asking if the provider was able to evaluate me for prescribed medication they advised me they do not do that at their office. I work in the medical field and we have never denied a patient who is in pain/experiencing severe symptoms due to medications provided by our office. This is when I brought up hearing that zofran could potentially ease my symptoms and that is when the receptionist let me know it was available for purchase for $40 but there was no way to get it prescribed to a pharmacy. I don’t understand how a medical clinic doesn’t have the proper licensing to prescribe medication however they will gladly sell you their in house stock supply. At this point I was worried for my health and began to seek other clinics whom were able to assist me with my health needs. I was prescribed zofran, instructed to take electrolytes, intake more protein, and increase my water intake. All simple things that if the provider here was compliant, I would have been able to been advised after spending $600 at this clinic. Do your research and choose a clinic that won’t neglect your health. I feel that I can more than many understand that medications can cause side effects but when a patient is experiencing pain and severe symptoms due to taking said medication, it is a providers responsibility to access and treat the patient. I wasn’t offered any solutions nor help from the clinic which leads me to believe they truly only care to take your money. I also noted that other clinics are charging $300-400 for compound tirzepatide (the specific clinic that was actually able to help me is currently having a special for $325 which includes the month’s beginning dosages, I paid $599 which Beach Cities claimed to be a special). Save half of the price and go to a clinic that truly values and cares for your health. I will not be returning here and feel compelled to report this business for their negligence.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
