Today Dr Ovunc refused to see my 6 year old daughter due to her cough. 1) Despite clear communication of Liberty’s symptoms at no time during scheduling or leading up to the appointment was I asked ensure a negative PCR test for Covid-19. Had I been asked to do this I most certainly would have complied with this request 2) Our visit to Dr. Ovunc was the result of chronic symptoms that mirror the symptoms of Covid-19. Unfortunately, the very symptoms that drove us to Dr Ovunc were the same symptoms that led us to being denied medical care. From our point-of-view, there is a systemic breakdown in patient care if a patient who manifests respiratory symptoms that mirror Covid-19 seeking treatment from a pulmonologist who in turn refuses to see the patient for the same reason. One should not be denied treatment for the chronic symptoms that have forced them to seek treatment.

I absolutely loved Dr. Ovunc in every way. She was extremely thorough, compassionate, and had a great bedside manner. However, one day she was just no longer at the Elliot and all of her patients were left without a doctor. After some thorough investigation I was told she left without giving notice. If that is true it is unethical and for that reason I would not follow her. If you need a pediatric pulmonar doctor there is one at Exeter hospital and Brian O’Sullivan at DHMC is well respected

I would love to know where Dr. Ovunc went. My daughter felt very comfortable with her and we would be willing to commute to keep her as our doctor.

I am so disappointed that Dr. Ovunc is no longer with the Elliot. I was so impressed when she followed up with me after hours. She always validated my concerns, big or small. She was willing to stand up for my son and do what was best for him not just what was convenient for the Elliot. She and her nurse made us feel like more than just a quick chart check.

Very disappointed by the interpersonal communication I have had with Dr. Ovunc. She does not listen to parent’s thoughts and concerns and does not respect the opinions of other professionals. She has not only been very rude and unprofessional to me but to our pharmacist as well. Concerns regarding her level of knowledge within the field as she told me, “there is no aspiration on solids in pediatrics” and isn’t aware of the difference between a barium swallow and a modified barium swallow study.
