Prior to my surgery I was told a total knee replacement is the most painful surgery you will ever go through. Thanks to the excellent work of dr. Combs, along with the support of Lakewood hospital, my pain level never got above a level 4. I was walking up and down stairs the day after surgery, without a cane in less than two months. All the other doctors and physical therapists I have seen have called dr. Combs a genius. I feel the same and I’m glad I did it
Poor is for staff not following through per doctors instructions; staff not calling patient back after saying they would; not getting call back from doctor after lack of service from staff. Did staff pass on request?
Dr. Combs & his staff are all 5star providers! I called & Marlene gave me an appt nxt day. Dr Combs was professional in every way by explainingpatientlymy sciatica & commitment that hed do everything possible to help me heal w/o surgery. He referred me to a physical therapist & requested a MRI. Dr. Combs has now requested approval for the final nonsurgical option. Because of his perfect professionalism + the same from his staff, Daisy, Marlene, Alicia, theyve earned this 5star rating :)
This was a very positive visit. Dr. Combs was early, he listened and asked me questions about what course of treatment I wanted. He gave me different ...
This doctor should go back to medical school. He did no tests of range of motion for my injury only responded when I asked. He offered no practical advice and wanted to do xrays (instead of scan) for a muscle injury. He tries to connect with his patients in a very strange way making eye contact almost continuously. But that doesnt make up for poor advice and what seems like a lack of knowledge or at best a lazy attitude to genuinely caring about physical therapy or what the patient can do to relieve pain.
It took 2 weeks to have an appointment. The staff in the authorization department is not taking her job seriously. It took her 5 days to submit the approval to my insurance!!! She told me that the doctors order and authorization will be faxed to the provider but after 1 day she still has not and have to call back again to remind her.
I find Dr. Combs friendly, enthusiastic and genial. He explained my options to me, and got me the treatment that I thought I needed. I like him, and will gladly consult him again.
Dr. Combs did a knee surgery on my mother, completely unaware of a previous (and obvious) surgery on the same leg. It took 2 days for him to figure out why the swelling was not going down until he discovered the previous surgery. With a proper pre operation exam, he should have noticed the large scar from the earlier surgery and asked more questions. Over a week later the swelling is still considerable. After calling to discuss this, I was told he was unavailable till the next day and I wouldnt be able to speak with him till then. Patients should be treated like people, not automobiles.
IVE BEEN TREATED BY DR.COMBS FOR MY BROKEN ELBOW. SURGERY WENT WELL. HE HAS BEEN GREAT IN EXPLANING EVERY THING TO ME AND HE ALWAYS HAS A GREAR ATTITUDE.IM VERY SATISFIED.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
