Dr. Jill Javahery's Online Review Report Card

Don't get me wrong, Jill herself is amazing. I've been going to that place since high school and the changes that have happened there through the years are disappointing and staggering and just downright comedic and unaccommodating to the Hippocratic oath. Now JILL JAVAHARY will take the time to talk to you and remember your name and help you with whatever you need. Her STAFF on the other hand and her other fellow Practitioners there are absolutely unprofessional, insensitive and really not accommodating to people with mental health issues. I recently was diagnosed with childhood developed DID. I don't like swearing and I don't like being a mean person. And generally I'm not. Everybody's got their cranky days and unfortunately sometimes the word shit will come out of the mouth when you're explaining a situation. I also do my very best to try to keep my shit at the door so that way I don't affect people but that day when I walked in it was like the nurses were just waiting. The energy was off and it seems like nobody had time for me and nobody would even make eye contact. Everybody kept looking at their tablets and conversing with each other. However, nobody was actually paying attention to the patients that were actually there we were just a number and a slot on a time book When I finally got around to explaining nurses that I not only do they think it was an excuse for how I was as a person they took it personally and told me that if I didn't tone it down I wouldn't be able to come back. One particular nurse who had just gotten back from maternity leave miss heard what I said and then unprofessionally misconstrued my words to the nurse practitioner Who then came in and spoke to me and tried to scold me like I was a child. Then the nurse practitioner came in and just started going off in this very condescending tone. This therefore sent me off into a panic attack which then I had to haphazardly tried to explain the my mental health situation which actually while I was upset and panicking. I was trying to explain that I have that I have dissociative identity disorder and sometimes my mail alters will use the word shit or call the situation fucked up no matter how hard I try to control my words and my filters. THAT nurse who had just come back from maternity leave miss heard me for everything after I had already been waiting in examination examination room a good forty five minutes minutes (feeling forgotten, another reason why you guys don't wanna come here they don't give a shit about your time) AFTER wait another 10 or fifteen minutes in the waiting room initially. DID I MENTION GOT THERE EARLY?!?!Now let's talk about the doctor that came and saw me. After she saw me literally starting to cry while trying to explain she backtracked and apologize haphazardly and then tacked on I need to be better with my words (OR tell them FIRST that I have a mental illness BEFORE IM SEEN).... WHAT?!?!?'bbv when I mentioned my skin problems that I needed a hole punch (The same hole punch in the same area that Dr.Javahery had already scheduled for me to have removed. This doctor (I don't even want to call her doctor at this point because she's definitely not) Did a once over with her eyes (ALSO, not physically examine as I asked her to because these sacks that I've been sitting my skin have attached to my spine and my muscles due to my own health issues and losing over 200 pounds) Not only did she say no, you don't need a whole punch: she didn't even touch my skin didn't do a very big examination she barely glanced at me after that whole initial misunderstanding and miscommunication interaction when I first got there. She prescribe me a med and wash. The same mat and wash that me and Dr.Javahery have taken the time to use and figure out doesn't work on my skin. they would've known that if they actually took the time to read my notes or talk to each other. Needless to say I really wish I could keep coming back to this place I've been coming here since high school. However I have never in my entire life felt so helpless, unheard, dejected, humiliated, frustrated, angry, and last but not least so disappointed in the office that I've been going to for years. If you have children or family members that you're thinking of bringing to this please don't. This place has absolutely no kindness and the doctors are not empathetic except for Jill herself and that being said I never see her she's never around. This is a really pretty office with a really really ugly set a staff members. Take this information and do what you were with the guys I'm just sharing my experience

Can't speak to the dermatology; gave up after spending 10 minutes on hold to find out that new appointments are 2 months out.

Dr. Javahery is wonderful! She is so kind, thorough, generous, and conservative in her treatments. I’ve seen her for both vanity treatments and medical treatments and have felt safe and trusting in her skilled hands. Highly recommended!

The office itself is very nice but I'm very upset because of lack of communication between the patient and staff. I went in for a free consultation for coolsculpting and after the dr went over everything I had a question regarding a cyst I had on my shoulder. Mind you I was just wanting to get a second opinion because I had already been told by a previous dr that I needed to have it surgically removed. So when I asked that question Dr. Anne asked me if I had insurance in which I replied yes and she said oh ok well they put you down as a cash patient not sure why that mattered at the time because that's all she said. She then looked at the cyst and told me what I had already been told which was that it needed to be surgically removed and she told me it would take about an hour and what not. She took out a ruler and measured it (I'm assuming) and just let me know that the front staff would go over pricing with me. NOT ONCE did she mention that by me asking that question MY INSURANCE WOULD BE BILLED. When I go to check out the lady let me know I had a $75 copay!!! And I said I thought it was a free consultation? And she said yes but because of your cyst it's now a "medical visit" so we have to bill your insurance. WELL why didn't the Dr mention anything about a copay or it being a medical visit now because of a question I asked. I believe that's something that definitely needs to be communicated with the patient I wasn't aware it would be considered medical related and they would have to bill my insurance because of it!! Very shady. And I didn't even get any information regarding prices or whatever I was told that I'd be getting a call and I never did.

Best dermatologist ever! The staff are just as caring and nice as the doctors. Highly recommend Long Beach Comprehensive Dermatologists.

This review is only for the scheduling/customer service. I called today to make an appointment. I was placed on hold for 10:18 then was hung up on. I called back and again was placed on hold, this time for 5:26. When the lady finally answered and took my information. She proceeded to tell me that she couldn't make an appointment for me because I have a balance of $7.25. REALLY... I told her I would pay it when I would come in and she said no it has to be paid before scheduling. Time to fine a new dermatologist. RIDICULOUS for it' $7.25 you just lost a patient.

Dr. Javahery is so kind and caring. Worked me in her busy schedule. I was scared I had a problem bug bite. She reassured me all was going to be okay. Thanks again for great service!!
