List of Ellen Amador, Do's Reviews
I agree with most everyone statements. Doctor Amador is GREAT! For both myself and my son - Best Doctor Ever! Staff throughout the years have grown to be very rude! I was with Doctor Manos office since the 90s whereas staff went from very friendly and professional to very rude. I wish Doctor Amador had her own practice in another office.
Very safe, professional, and done in a reasonable amount of time. Dr. Amador and front staff all follow COVID mask guidelines. She is professional in every interaction. Speaks mostly business, but is personable and seeks to understand you and your situation. I’m in and out, not feeling like I spent too much time in the lobby.

I’ve been taking a controlled substance for six years and switched to Dr.Amador because I moved. She’s the first doctor that required me to visit her monthly just to pick up my prescription. That would be fine… if her appointments didn’t waste so much of my time. Dr.Amador is consistently 30-45 minutes late. One time, I popped my head out to mention that I’ve been sitting in the room for 45 minutes and the staff looked at me almost offended for having the audacity to say that. They told me that Dr.Amador is always expected to run 30+ minutes late. So if I have a 1:30 appointment with her, I can expect not to see her until 2:00-2:15. My appointments with her are only 10 minutes so you’ll have to understand why I’m a little irritated as to why I have to arrive 15 minutes early and sit around in silence for a total of 50ish minutes just to have a 10 minute conversation. She’s always very “lively” so I can overhear her other client’s issues whenever she talks to them. She always laughs a lot, sometimes I can’t make out what she’s saying because she’s laughing. Usually, this is a delightful thing but sometimes I feel like it’s hard to talk because she’s always talking over me or laughing before I can finish my sentence. I don’t really feel heard with her, to be honest. I’ve never had to pay a $40 copay every month just to get my meds and I’m currently looking for a new provider just so I can save time and money.
Front office was extremely rude. Tried to tell me that all doctors are unable to see a patient within a month, sometimes up to 6 months. If your primary care doctor can’t see you within 2 weeks they have an issue.
This one star is for the front office receptionist. She is extremely rude. Dr. Amador is absolutely amazing! If you can avoid talking to the receptionists then you're golden. Probably the best doctor I've ever had.
Awesome de, very personable, attentive. The front office staff are wonderful as well. They've gone out of their way to get my questions answered any time of day. Always return calls, follow up and resolve issues timely. I absolutely adore the doctors and especially the front office staff!super sweet, and professional always!
Laughed hysterically while I was upset and expressing my concerns. She kept talking over me and wouldn't let me finish a sentence. I didn't even get to voice all of the concerns I had and got pushed out the door.
Doctor was nice and helped a lot. She was useless when it comes to reprimanding her staff for unprofessional behavior. They lake 2 hour lunches and don’t answer the phone or change the voicemail to the correct lunch break time. The manager was also rude and talked over me when I was sharing a complaint. I think it was Brenda or Rosie, I’m at not sure. They need a new staff or better training. So happy I found a better doctor 🙂.
I love her, she is extremely nice and honest.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
