List of Etsegenet Ayele, Md's Reviews
Dr. Ayele was kind, a great listener, made me laugh, & listened to my concerns & made a reasonable treatment plan & recommendations. I really appreciated that she gives value to both medical & homeopathic remedies.
If I could give her zero stars, I would. Went to the hospital at the direction of my doctor(s). They were there and did all treatment. She evidently slipped her name into the registry at Los Al Hospital that she was my doctor. She did stop by and talk to me for 5 minutes about where I lived. No doctoring. Asking about my health or medications? Didn't even know my condition and background. Wrote a report to the hospital that would have mis-prescribed medicine. All analyses were done by my doctors who admitted me and discharged me. She had her bill to my insurance company within a few hours after I was discharged. After I challenged her billing person, they attacked me and threaten to got after my earnings. She is immoral, unethical and very close to committing fraud. DO NOT EVER USE HER SERVICES and be careful if you are admitted to a hospital. The AMA should revoke her license.
Horrible my health care transferred her as my primary office useless Won’t even do the basics avoid if you can!
HORRIBLE Dr. don't go see her. She doesn't care, listen or talk with you. She didn't even acknowledge me when walking in to the waiting room. I tried explaining a few things and she paid no attention to me. I will NEVER go back regardless of my blood work.

Dr. Ayele was my mother's doctor. We chose her because she was one of the few doctors who would visit her Assisted Living facility. Mom had dementia and was in a wheelchair. I suggested that I meet with her at the facility to give her some background on my mom's health conditions. She did not seem particularly interested in meeting with me. When we did meet, she just shrugged and said, "well, your mother's lived a long life", as if nothing really mattered at this point. Her office was difficult to work with, and it took many attempts to get the paperwork needed to get my mom's diabetes test strips covered by Medicare. When my mother contracted Covid, I asked her to prescribe paxlovid, but she said it was not called for because mom wasn't that sick. My mother ended up passing away about a month later. She was at end of life, but I think Covid definitely pushed her over the edge. She certainly seem like the highest risk category who would normally be prescribed Paxlovid.
I am sorry to say that Dr Ayele is a good doctor, however her receptionist is not good at all. She is very dismissive when I told her that I need to talk to Dr Ayele about my diebetic reading on my new libre patch. I left several message but no call back. She kept telling me to email the libre info, but there is no way to email it, instead it told her I can share the info, but need the office to upload the app. Without asking Dr Ayele, she said no she can't do it, just email the info, which is not possible. Very bad service. I am a patient and should be treat with more respect since my diebetis is very serious.
This doctor is horrible. If you are a new patient in search of a primary care physician, look elsewhere. Do your research and read other reviews about her, she doesn't seem to enjoy what she is doing anymore and she definitely doesn't "care". I rarely go out of my way to post reviews, but she deserves it. Dr. Ayele has been my primary for several years, I have only seen her once. My mental health is very important to me, but for some reason she thinks it is fake and a joke. Her and her staff pretty much laughed at me and told me that they accidentally prescribed me Lexapro and Xanax for over two years! I needed a mental medical form filled out for my university and she refused it and started yelling and screaming at me to leave the office. This is the second time I saw her and I have no idea what made her so angry. It was weird and disturbing. So I left and do not plan on going back. It is very upsetting that this happened to me. My family and I have been going to the Los Alamitos Medical Center for decades. There are several other reviews that describe the same behaviors coming from this office. Be safe out there, and avoid this doctor!
Terrible treatment. It is such a shame how horribly this doctor behaves. Having mental health issues like depression is not something to be made fun of. Dr. Ayele made me feel ashamed of my disorder and basically told me it didn’t exist. But she had no problem forking out dozens of refills of Lexapro and Xanax to get me to go away. Her receptionist now told me that Dr. Ayele must have prescribed the medication on accident. I am speechless. If you are considered this MD, don’t. They are awful. It is sad because my family and I have used the Los Alamitos Medical Center for decades. Dr. Ayele needs to have her license revoked.
First impression. Just got back from my moms and my office visit for our annual exam/physical. I used to see Dr Becker there but he moved and I figured I would try Dr Ayele. So technically not new to the office but new to her. I believe my records are still there. Anyway, I didn't even meet or see Dr Ayele. I think I saw a NP, Vicky who didn't introduce herself, I had to ask her who she was. Vicky is nice enough but has either memory problems or lacks listening skills because I had to constantly repeat myself to the point it became extremely annoying. By the reviews Im seeing, looks like I need to keep looking for a new Primary doctor. This is so frustrating. Front office was fine, intake nurse was fine.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
