H Roger Rizi's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Rizi is an excellent doctor. He is thorough, kind and experienced. I have a pacemaker. He takes the time to explain things to me so that I understand what is going on. I always feel like he takes the time to make sure my heart and pacemaker are ok- but goes beyond that to assure that my overall wellbeing is good.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I see reviewing a medical practice a little faux pas but my god, the medical assistant, the ultra sound tech, the receptionists.. I can see where it all trickles down from, Dr.Rizi himself. Not announcing as they come in or go (even a knock at the door would suffice!) they don't wear gloves or sanitize as they come into a room (I had to tell them to start wearing gloves after the THIRD person touched my grandma without gloves) HELLO! WE'RE STILL IN A PANDEMIC??? They don't seem to understand something called "language barrier" they believe saying the same words louder will make us understand better (what a novel idea!) All of this aside, Dr. Rizi, as snarky as can be (not a characteristic you'd want your dr to have) stating "I've seen other people do more than her, better than her!" Thanks we've been aware that she hasn't been her normal self after her stroke, thanks for the lovely comment though. Don't bother asking the medical assistant for assistance as she will tell you "I didn't understand you" even though you're speaking English and are transparent with her in what you're needing. But alas, we will not be back and encourage you to look for a new provider, someone who's team will treat you as if you aren't a burden and will care for you or your loved one

The staff is awful and very disrespectful and has ZERO empathy with patients.  I only went here because I was having a surgery done at Marina Del Rey Hospital and they needed this stress test. The nurses really don't know what they are doing. I had to get out of a room two time to get my weight and then she pushed my back against the wall for the height. I explained to her that I have a back issue and that she needs to be gentle. She didn't care. They asked where my medications where. I told her at home the nurse said I was supposed to bring it with me. I told her no one told me to bring my medication as I would've   She asked me 5 times if the list of medications were mine. I kept telling here yes. I even list them on the medication form. I kept explaining that I have a lower back issue as to sitting in a chair is very painful and the staff was terrible. They left the lubricant for the infrasound and told me to clean it myself.  They left all the electrode for the EKG on and told me to take them off myself.  I would not recommend coming to Dr. Rizi office.  I would look for a different t place to have a stress test done.  Even with COVID-19 they don't sanitize the pens or clipboards that you have to use when filling out the new patient forms.  Again I would not recommend Dr. Rizi to anyone.

The office staff was rude and disrespectful. I arrived to my appointment at 9:45, 15 minutes early, and waited and hour for them to then tell me I was going to have to wait another hour and a half to be seen.. mind you they took these older patients that came in after me before me. Then that rude disrespectful receptionist had the audacity to tell me I was disrespectful. Wow I will never return. I would not recommend this doctor or office to anyone!!!!! Worst doctors visit I ever had.

My mom and a close friend were patients of Dr. Rizi, and after observing how he is with them, I knew he had to be my cardiologist too, even though I live a long way away. He is a calm, professional gentleman who looks you in the eye and takes the time to find out what's going on in your life. He never shames patients for being human -- not exercising enough and eating too much-- though he strongly encourages making good lifestyle changes.  He is so good that I'd see him for just about any ailment, not just heart problems.  He has a way of making you feel like you're his only patient, not just one of many he has to see that day.

Dr Rizi has helped my dad and brother and now my Wife,  I highly recommend Dr Rizi to anybody that needs a Cardiologist.  His knowledge, his time that he provides is amazing.  The time he takes to listen to his patients and when he speaks to his patients is a moment of bond not a doctors visit.  Dr Rizi is a truly amazing Doctor. Thank you

I have been Doctor Rizi's patient for over 15 years. He is very compationate, extremely knowledgable, and truly takes his time to explain yor results and sets achievable goals for you. His clinic is equipped with the latest technology and the office staff are very friendly and professional.
