I took my 86 year old mother in for an annual check up on her ears. The office did not run authorization with the insurance until moments before the appointment where an annual hearing test was denied. This office called me to make sure I was coming to the appointment, but they didn't bother running an authorization until the last minute, wasting our time. We will never return to Dr. Tan.
Very unorganized, showed up on time but waited 25 minutes with an appointment, and was over billed by $200.
Unlike every other doctors appoint I’ve been to, this office does not check eligibility prior to your visit. I pulled my kid out of school and took time off for the appointment, only to be rescheduled because they couldn’t find my son’s info in their system and the referral expired because they previously rescheduled this appointment due to the doc being sick. Also, I was referred to Dr. Eapen but they told me the referral has to be under Dr. Tan in order to see Dr. Eapen at this location. Very confusing and this office expects the patient to know all this prior to coming. They need to change their process and put in the work to check or communicate to their patients better. Very disorganized and inefficient process.
I went in for a consultation to see if I had a deviated septum and just wanted to know my options if I did so that I could breath better and be more active. Upon arrival, I waited over 30 minutes to see Dr. Tan and when I did, it was for maybe 10 minutes. He shined a light in my nose to confirm my septum was deviated and asked if I would like to schedule a procedure to take a CT scan to confirm the misalignment and see what my options would be and I said yes. Before my appointment two weeks later, I get billed $271.38 FOR A CONSULTATION visit. Because he shined a light in my nose they tried to consider it a "Nasal endoscopy diagnostic" and charged my insurance $600, which left me with the deductible of $250 and co-payment of $30 then some random tax on top of it. There was no communication during the consultation that I would be getting a "Nasal Endoscopy", which they consider a medical procedure, it was suppose to just be a consultation to see what my options are. I feel like I got swindled out of money just for seeking out a doctor's opinion. Don't waste your time here. Go to a doctor who communicates and cares.
I went to my appointment just to encounter an incompetent receptionist with no knowledge of eligibility. Over a simple mistake of forgetting my insurance card, I was rescheduled for another month because she could not do her job and go out of her way to just simply checking eligibility. I offered to email the insurance card once I got a copy, instead she insisted she needed it then and there. They had my insurance ID number/authorization and all they had to do was check eligibility in the portal to know how much was the copay, checking eligibility through the portal would of been more accurate than an old 2019 card I had at home. Thank god for my insurance and pcp office that have changed me to a different ENT.As a medical billing office manager this is a disgrace of an office, I refuse to get a consult for a tonsillectomy when they can’t even train their staff properly.

Dr. Tan has great bedside manner and is friendly. It is difficult to find a physician that will take time to care for you. I am glad I did.
Dr. Tan is awesome! He is very caring, an attentive listener, and has an amazing bedside manner. He has helped me so much with my health problems. His diagnoses have always been spot on, and his treatment recommendations are superb. His office staff is great, too. Highly, highly recommend!
Great experience. The wait to be helped when I checked in was short. The staff at the office and Dr. Tan were all friendly and helpful. I loved how Dr. Tan really took his time to explain my conditions treatment options. I had a great visit and the doctor's demeanor has really put me at ease. I highly recommend this clinic, know that you will be in good hands!
I waited over 2 months to get an appointment. I was left sitting in the waiting room for what would’ve been 2 hours if I hadn’t gone to the front and asked after sitting there for an hour. They said he was really busy. Sorry, but I choose to visit a doctor that values my time as much as theirs. I understand being busy, but communicate. We are all busy.I will say the front office staff was very nice. I felt bad for them having to handle all the upset clients.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
