The Best! Dr. Blitzer is very direct, which I like. He answers all questions. He is very thorough and doesn't miss anything!!!

Rude, insensitive and does not follow case closely Dr Blitzer started off nice enough but as my dad’s case became more complicated, he was detached and not up to speed on patient’s lab work. The family was tracking lab results and often informing Dr Blitzer of the change in results of which he had no idea. He was so detached from the case and defensive that we actually were consulting with other oncologists to strategize for a plan of care. I would never recommend him to anyone needing a kind, attentive physician as his care was awful in treating my dad. At one point he said “I don’t know how we’re going to put Humpty Dumpty back together again”. All said in front of his patient who was cognitively aware of what Dr Blitzer was saying. The WORST….. RUN. There are plenty of great physicians out there-this is not one of them.

He has no time to listen He doesn’t want to listen and just wants to talk. I won’t return there.

Best bedside manner ever! Dr. Blitzer is exactly want you are looking for in a physician. First he greets you in a professional but friendly manner. He ask about your life and what you are doing. His explaination of your issues is clear and easy to understand. I never felt rushed. Dr. Blitzer is a warm and compassionate doctor and he is a snazzy dresser. His staff was friendly and professional. I am very fortunate to have him as my oncologist.

I'm not sure if this review was posted so I am writing it again to ensure credit is given to my wonderful provider. I am very fortunate to have Dr. Blitzer as my oncologist over the past year. He is as warm hearted and compassionate more than any of my previous providers who treated me. Dr. Blitzer's experience and vast explanation of my complicated conditions put me at ease every time I consulted with him. He spends so much time with me making sure I understand every bit of information he discusses. He is honest, has a wonderful personality and the consummate professional. He is thoroughly knowledgeable and extremely efficient in answering the numerous inquiries I pose to him in person, online or through my Nurse Practitioner Deneen (who is also a gem!) and he is always open to any concerns I have. All of my schedules and testing were ordered promptly as well as all follow up appointments with him immediately afterwards. His offices are extremely clean and well maintained and his entire staff is a pleasure to work with. As I am finishing up my one year with Dr. Blitzer, I will and continue to look forward to seeing him at my scheduled intervals. And as I write this, he is now the medical oncologist for my husband who was recently diagnosed as well. Thus far my husband has been receiving the most exceptional and immediate care for his condition by Dr. Blitzer. Thank you Dr. Blitzer and your team for the extraordinary care, encouragement and treatments you are providing to us.

Dr. Blitzer has been treating me over a year now for my 2 cancers. He is the utmost professional with the most warm hearted and caring attitude. He explains everything in detail to me and my family members and is available to address any inquiries I have. His treatment plan for my condition is encouraging and he also ordered additional testing to ensure nothing was left out, which I sincerely appreciated. I don't feel I am in a rushed environment but a very calm and peaceful setting and his entire staff have been so very kind every time I visited the office. His office located at the Todd Cancer Pavilion in Long Beach is quite beautiful, serene and with ample space to ensure privacy. It is extremely clean and well maintained. I am very lucky and fortunate to have Dr. Blitzer as my oncologist and I could not recommend him highly enough.

I don't feel I am in a hurried atmosphere and was given more than enough time during each of our consultations. His staff at his office located at the Todd Cancer Pavilion in Long Beach is also exceptional as they are kind, caring and never have me waiting more than a few minutes to see Dr. Blitzer. The office is quite beautiful, serene and spacious enough to ensure privacy. I am very fortunate to have Dr. Blitzer as my medical oncologist and I know I am in the best care possible with him.
