She takes her time and really listens and engages. She’s always willing to request referrals to specialists if needed. She always follows up with whatever procedures would be helpful to establish whatever is going on that is problematic.

My mom and I both are lucky enough to have Dr Lauren Barnes as our physician. She is so sincere in doing what she can to give you the best treatment and outcome possible. She really listens and cares. She is absolutely “10”

OMG Where do I begin??! I have been Dr Barnes patient for about two years. In that time I have seen her probably 10 times. The experience is the same every time, a) It takes THREE MONTHS TO GET AN APPT, b) she is always late, b) she is always in a rush; absolutely ZERO bedside manner, c) doesn’t listen, d) acts completely indifferent to my issues. I discovered from my agonizing pain, that I have severe degenerative arthritis. All through this ordeal, she has been shockingly indifferent to my condition. When I asked her to explain the results of my MRIs and X-rays she LITERALLY TOLD ME to ‘call the specialist’!!! Imagine an anxious patient awaiting the results of why her body is in such agony, to be told to call another doctor, to make an appt, to wait however long, to understand my diagnosis???? IMAGINE IF THAT WERE YOU?? I’ve had to push for EVERYTHING: Xrays, MRIs, specialist referrals. She constantly makes mistakes on referral codes and specialist information that have had me doing her research for her. All through this ordeal, she never ONCE has asked me how she could help with my pain. Not once. I asked HER to switch my current pain medicine ETOLODOLAC I’d been on for 20 years to something else, so that the new med might be more effective. She and her nurse encouraged me to ‘SIGN UP for the online platform!!!’. Ugh what a nightmare!! These patient platforms are just a way of brushing off patient calls on the switchboard. I never once got straight answers online and most of the time a confused, and utterly useless nurse, tried to chime in that made everything so much more frustrating. know this woman has a bunch of stars but I am absolutely telling you they are FAKE. Please find another doctor!!! You could throw a stone and hit a doctor with more knowledge and empathy than this one. If there were a way to give NEGATIVE STARS, believe me, she’d have a pile of them.

Flu season is back so of course I got sick. Finding a health center that doesn't charge an obscene amount of money to be seen is always a struggle. It was the closest, same - day appointment center I found on Yelp. They take several types of insurance, including mine which only charged a $10 copay. They even have their own app where you fill out your symptoms and payment information right away. Once I arrived, all I had to is just checking in with my receptionist and I am able to see my doctor right away. I heard that you are one of the best doctor in Long Beach, I hope that I can see you as one of your patients. Sincerely, Tracy
