I got Botox here over a month ago and I’m less than satisfied with the results. There is still too much movement in the forehead, with visible wrinkles. Also - a bit of sticker shock at the price, $13/unit, which adds up quickly.I’ll give 2 stars to the doctor who was great and had lovely bedside manner.
I was very nervous and worried but both Dr. Kuo and Dr. Glassberg were very kind, compassionate and patient. The office staff and the Dr’s support staff were also very caring and compassionate. Dr. Glassberg was very responsive to my concerns about the local anesthetic and did everything possible to minimize my discomfort. One of the support staff (I’m sorry, I don’t remember her name) saw how nervous I was and handed me a stress ball which really helped. Everything was explained to me throughout the procedure. I would like to thank everyone for their kindness and compassion while I went through this procedure and would highly recommend your practice. Thank you.
The staff was exceptional. Dr Kwak is amazing!
Great staff...top notch doctors
Overcharging and unprofessional. Still waiting for my lab results on the mail as I asked. Rude response on the phone when I inquired about extra lab tests they decided to perform, and bill me them of course, without even informing patient, just because "you signed a consent for that".Went there for a spot check and ended with cut and a bill in excess of $600 that, luckily for me, insurance covered a big portion.I found odd and very unprofessional that you go for medical skin check and receptionist hands you a stack of coupons with discounts for botox and other cosmetic procedures they sell. Should not those things be recommended only by professionals, after a patient-doctor consultation, and only to those that really want it?Also be prepared for a very long wait.
Dr. Nguyen took exceptional care of my cosmetic needs. She was careful and thorough in my treatment, and also explained the process throughout. She was also very patient and responsive in answering my questions and inquires. It's evident she is committed to her profession and providing the best service to her patients. The office staff is also very kind and professional. Laser Skin Care Center is great all around.
I sought care for my cystic acne beginning on January 23, 2018 with Dr. Shainhouse and her assistance, Stephanie Morales. I went back on April 3, 2018 for my next appointment. By this time, I was on track to receiving Accutane. On the final visit (May 14, 2018), I had gone in to be prescribed Accutane. The assistant, Stephanie, forgot to send my prescription to my pharmacy. I had to call her and by the time that she had submitted my prescription, the window for the pick-up had already lapsed. In other words, I had to wait another month for my Accutane. I had already waited for four months for them to figure out what to do about my reluctance to take a pregnancy test every month because I am a transman. I was livid so I called in to the office to complain about Stephanie's misconduct. I got in touch with her supervisor, Mary, who promised that they were not going to charge my insurance for the May 14th visit. Additionally, I was going to have the next visit's copay waived. In July, I received a bill from Laser Skin Care for eight dollars. When I checked on my online claim, I realized that their office had charged for the May 14th visit and had been overcharging for the copay. For the last three visits, I paid $25 copay when the alloted total patient liability is stated as $24. I called in to talk to Mary about the growing issues and she transferred me to the billing department. The billing department said that they would talk to the office manager and Mary would get back to me (this was a month ago). I don't appreciate the insufficient quality of care and overcharging by this office.
Laser Skin, "No Matter how much a snake sheds the skin. It's still a snake". There is questionably no 'Care' in their name - just 'Skin' in the Botox & Dermal game.Gone is bedside care and the future directions in Dermatological health care. Gone is Dr. JoAnna Chan, who started a private practice, who took-with-her the importance of the quality-of-care and the nature-of-patient-outcomes.This Office will charge a minimum of $15 to forward medical files to Dr. Chan or to The California Skin Institute.Laser Skin - or shedded skin - is all about lasers, surgeries, treating wrinkles over rashes, and volume loss, aesthetically and financially for-a-patient. This is a practice-for-profit only objective, one that overshadows, professional patient-care.I am no longer faithful to this beautiful cosmetic surgery center, for dermatogoly. I distrust the distinction between injectables - Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, or any other botulinum - I prefer a Band-Aid and an empathetic bedside manner.
Everyone very friendly and I have never been disappointed with a Drs visit.
I think the man in the photo describes it very well...Work is effective, efficient and loves to work with people and gets results...Just like Laser Skincare
