Dr. Seard provided excellent care to me, with efficient office visits, surgery and post-operative care. His staff is friendly, caring and very efficient. My overall experience with the doctor and his staff was exceptional; they are a credit to UC Irvine and provide everything you could ask for in medical care.

Seard III, MD Located in: Long Beach Memorial Medical Center Address: 2810 Long Beach Blvd, Long Beach, CA 90806 Phone: (562) 933-0900 Monday March 5th, 2018 2pm went into for standard vasectomy Staff apologized for running late. Once Doctor Seard came in, he reviewed the vasectomy kit that was setup by Dr. JUDY CHOI, M.D. and asked for approximately 10-12 items that were missing from the kit. He had the staff make notes and order in the future. Dr Seard told me he has been the Director of Urology for Long Beach for the last two years. It seems like I was the Ginny pig and that he had not done a vasectomy in this Long Beach office in the whole two years. He mentioned twelve tools missing, 21 mm, etc, etc were missing. Then to test the cauterizer machine, they grounded me to the machine and then started to test it. The machine just kept beeping and not working. They reviewed the manual and still were not able to get the cauterizer to work. All these things didn’t give me great assurance that this would be the greatest procedure. I mentioned that I was considering aborting the procedure until they get the 12 items and figure the machine out. Due to the fact that I was all prepped and “most” all equipment was there and I didn’t want to reschedule, we went ahead. The right side of my vas deferens went rather without incident in 15 minutes. It was the left side that the Doctor spent like 45 minutes trying to figure out. He pinched my penis and scrotum hard beyond belief to find my vas deferens. I offered to help, but he declined. Marci the head nurse called me shortly after I left that I had my pain meds and antibiotics forwarded to my pharmacy. I was hoping not to take antibiotics because I have taken so much in my life. Thurs March 8th, 2018 Marci called to review how I was doing. She mentioned that she would call back on Monday to review. Marci was amazing and friendly. She gets 10 stars but Melvin is the worst Doctor I have ever met. Sunday March 11th, 2018 7:30 am my testicular area has swollen beyond comfort. Called Advice Nurse and went to Emergency Room.

I had a last minute appt with Dr. Seard for the next morning after calling. Upon my arrival he had been called to ER to admit a patient. I was well informed and pleased with the overall service.

Very dissatified

Dr Seard is very compassionate and takes interest in your problems.. Dr Seard gave me time to speak & ask any questions ....and didn't rush care.... He also made sure I understood his plan and advise, himself ...instead of sending someone else in to explain.

I could not ask for a better more caring doctor. He cared of me in the most safe effective way

my appt was at 230 the registration was quick but I waited 50 mins to see the doctor that only spent 15 mins talking to me. I have called his office twice since my appt to request another rx and as of this morning he nor his nurse has returned my all. All doctors need to take their patient's time into consideration. The arrogance is unbelievable.I agree wholeheartedly with the other reviews.

While Dr. Seard indeed diagnosed my problem, he caused me much stress by not answering my phone calls, emails, or questions.In his interactions with me, he treated me not as human being, but rather as a bother. This was every visit, not just once. His staff is rude as well. This doctor just thinks he's all that, but he isn't, because he is lacking basic human caring in my opinion.In every visit to him, I felt like I was intruding on his time and causing him severe inconvenience.Based on all this, I found another urologist.
