I came to Dr. Strauss in 1994 when my Right Hip Joint was starting to bother me from dislocating my right Hip in 1978 from a bad car accident and at that time I was told I would probably need to have it replaced in 20 years ! I did not believe the doctors back then but 17 years later I was a firm believer !! My hip was starting to hurt in 1993 and when I saw Dr. Strauss he took X-Rays and said that he would monitor my degenerative hip joint and he told me that he would know when I needed it replaced as one day I would come into his office and I would also know !!! Well that day came in early 1996 and Dr. Strauss and I knew it was time as the pain meds no longer worked to suppress the pain !! I'm telling anyone who has a bad hip that Dr. Strauss is by far the only Dr. that I would trust to replace a hip joint as he did a fantastic job not only getting my right leg the same length as my left leg and the pain was non existent but he also gave me my life back !!! I'm 66 years old in 2019 now as I was 43 when he replaced it in 1996 !! Thank you Dr. Strauss !!!
I had been going for Doctors for years about my hammer toes that I had from my teens. No one really helped me just put a band aid on problem. Dr. Strauss was able to fix all of my toes in in-office visits. Then when I had a my bunion fixed..he found out the solution to a problem had had to my foot since a fall I had taken. I am having a great painless retirement thanks to him! Great Doctor, thank God for him.
Dr. Strauss is so friendly and helpful. He cares about his patients. I think he is one of the most helpful doctors and made me feel comfortable.
Dr. Strauss in my opinion may be experienced, but has lost all that Someone should expect from a Physician an Surgeon. I was recently treated by Dr. Strauss for a very serious and complicated orthopedic injury and he made me feel like I was in a drive-thru. His review of my medical history and consultation were questionable and if not for the critical nature of my injury I would not have used him for my procedure in hindsight. My post surgery experience has been even worse to the point where less than one month post-op I have chosen to be followed by another phyisician. I don't know if Dr. Strauss has just stopped caring or has lost it, but he's cold and comes across as if he could truly care less.I would not recommend Dr. Strauss even in an emergency situation if you can indeed find someone else.
after we were waiting in a room for over 35 minutes past the appointment time which we should up early to, with the ambulance staff waiting outside Strauss continued to joke it up in the hallway with staff....while we waited and waitedthen came into the room - pulled and prodded was bluntly rude during the exam and commented 'you won't have dignity unless you have multiple surgeries'.......since when does surgery improve ones 'dignity'worst experience of my life and it will be reported to the California Medical Board of Surgeons
veterinary doctors have better handling of patients. this was the worst referral i've ever received. waited in the patient room 40 minutes past the appointment time only to be told us I needed to be cut at every joint and would probably need a transfusion post surgery...but without the surgery i would not have 'dignity' how does dignity play into my life without having my entire body cut up like a wetsuit?

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
