AWSOME! The staff is amazing! I am truly happy with this office and Doctor.
Dr. Kapoor is a very good doctor. He's good at explaining medical conditions. At my last visit, I met with his nurse practitioner, Casey, to discuss echocardiogram results. I decided to switch to another cardiologist for the following reasons: 1) His office location is too inconvenient for me to get to, plus it's in a "ghetto" area of Long Beach; 2) Parking is NOT free; 3) I had to wait 45 minutes at the last visit, which I feel is unreasonable; 4) My blood pressure readings were ALWAYS much higher than my primary doctor's; 5) I spotted a dead cockroach on the waiting room floor, which made me wonder if there were hidden colonies of roaches inside the working/exam areas of the office. His office would be OK to go to if one lives close by and has a long-term relationship with the doctor and his staff.
Troubles with Dr. Kapoor's St. Marys stuff; meds I am receiving very poor treatment at Dr Kapoor, Long Beach. Today is only one example of my many frustrating and awkward incidents with his staff. I called yesterday and requested the staffer, "Alexa" to tell the doctor or assistant, Casey, that my blood pressure meds are not working, pressure between 140 and 154. I then received a call back later from "Alexa" I think (usually don't give name) telling me to call back. Will I called back the next day, and I asked who I was speaking to and she said, "Ann." I requested again that either Doctor Kapoor or Nurse Practitioner, Casey, change my blood pressure meds. Then Ann said that she will have Casey call me back, because Dr, Kapoor is away. Will, I was already waiting too long from help as it was, so I asked Ann to call Casey, which she did. Ann gets back to me and tells me that Casey wants to me to get a blood test first. I said where at? Ann said, "it looks like you went to Lab-quest before." So, I go, was the wrong lab! No test!!
Dr could use refresher course on patient relations I recently accompanied my wife (of over 50 years) to see Dr Kapoor for a recently diagnosed heart condition. (Without me saying a word I immediately got the impression that he did not appreciate me being there.) We waited over one hour for our first visit. We saw him a total of 3-4 visits and he was interrupted by phone calls, staff messages, etc. much of the time. Several visits were so brief he said he would call us later, which he never did. At one brief visit I had a very important question I wanted clarification on and he launched into a brief perfunctory overview of the heart without answering my question. I asked for clarification and he dismissed me in an angry and disrespectful manner saying he had other patients waiting and basically walked out the door. I was stunned! As a treating chiropractor and Qualified Medical Examiner for over 30 years, I’ve never dismissed a patient in such a disrespectful manner. Nor have I ever had a doctor talk to me with such disregard
Expect a minimum of a month to return a phone call unless you are in the hospital. Does not explain much or answer questions clearly. Would NOT recommend at all. Almost had to file a complaint with the Medical Board.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
