I was recommended to see Dr. Desa because of a groin pain I was experiencing. I had lifted some seriously heavy equipment one too many times. He said I definatly had some serious issues in the groin area but he noticed I had a rupture in my belly as well. So I went from dual to triple hernia. He instantly put me at ease explaining what needed to be done. A simple procedure that will be an "out patient", and I'd be home recovering instead of in a hospital. He said, there are 100's done every week, and I shouldn't worry. And you know what? I wasn't. His office staff was very nice to me, and told me everything I needed to know. They set up everything with insurance and the hospital to be used and I was able to have the procedure a few weeks later. Once I had the surgery, I was so relieved. The pain was gone and while I did have pain from the surgery at the spots where the incisions were made, I was very comfortable and pleased with the process. My recovery has gone as expected. Minimal discomfort, nothing serious. The visit to the doctor a week later confirmed a successful procedure, all my questions were answered and I was assured I was on the right track. I'm very pleased with the entire process from first visit, to good byes. Professional staff, great doctor and great results. I strongly recommend, that if you need this type of procedure, contact Dr. Desa. You will be as happy as I am. Thank you Dr. Desa, you made a difference in my quality of life.

I was referred by my GP to see Dr. DeSa about my abdominal hernia. Basically, I could no longer tolerate the pain it caused so I decided to get surgery. When I met him, we discussed about my situation and I decided he was the right doctor for me. He ended up doing robotic abdominal surgery at St. Mary's in downtown LB. My four incisions were very small and healed quite fast. The next day, I was walking around with minimal discomfort. Overall, my hats off to Dr. DeSa for a job well done.

I came in emergency at Long Beach Memorial Hospital in great pain. Dr DeSa decided surgery was necessary, and I thank him for his choice! Sorry Dr DeSa I didn’t get to thank you personally, I believe I was still slightly medicated when you came to check on me. Thank God, and I mean this literally, for people like you!

I consulted with Dr. DeSa for bariatric surgery. During my consultation, I didn't get a professional feel from him. He seemed rather immature. He walked in with two younger guys and said they're his scribes and take notes for him. He went over a packet of information and said to ignore the errors or typos. He wasn't wearing a mask and I thought this was inconsiderate of him being he's in the medical field. I asked how many sleeves he has preformed and his answer is 2. I asked how many gastric bypasses procedures he has done - he hasn't done one. I wish him all the best but I choose to look elsewhere.
