Pacific Dermatology Specialists's Online Review Report Card

I love the dermatologist she is great! However, since they moved from Los alamitos to seal Beach there is a new person who assisted the dermatologist in the room and made me feel like she did not want to hear what I had to say and cut me off as I was talking about the place to get the blood work. Maybe she was just having a stressful day, that being said I hope to have a better time next time.

I have semi annual laser treatments with Dr. Chapman. He is always supportive, thorough and aware of any discomfort. And an extra bonus...he's sooo personable. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Dr. Chapman is a delightful and skilled dermatologist. I go to him for forehead and crow’s feet Botox and the results always look so natural! After going to Dr. Chapman, I won’t go to anyone else.

Dr. Chapman is easily the best dermatologist I have ever seen and quite possibly, the best human being I have ever met. I struggle with OCD and anxiety and came into my excision procedure on a Monday morning so nervous I could barely walk. I was shaking uncontrollably and felt as though I was seconds away from a full-blown panic attack. Fifty percent of my nerves diminished when his nurse walked in the room and as soon as I met him, I knew that he was the dermatologist for me. He was kind, compassionate, reassuring, and not in the least bit concerned with how I was behaving as a result of my anxiety. He made me feel completely comfortable to be myself - nerves and all, and even had me play music off of my iPhone to distract me during the procedure. (It was his idea and he suggested playing a Martina McBride song!) Now whenever I hear "Independence Day," I will think of him and my excision. We talked about other musicians I liked -- he and his nurse let me stare at a picture of my favorite rockstar Timmy Rough of the German hard rock band The New Roses on my phone to keep my eyes away from the gross stuff that was happening -- and even conversed about my children's books that I write. He seemed interested and engaged in what I had to say but never lost focus of the task at hand. He was so reassuring about how smooth the procedure would go and how nicely I would heal -- I was very concerned about scarring -- that I felt as though I mattered. He kept conversation going throughout my appointment (as did his nurse), so that I would focus less on the stress of the moment, while still informing me of what he was doing along the way ("This is cold soap...", Here comes the numbing," "Here comes the poke," "Can you feel this?, etc.) He was even nice to my mom! He's the coolest! He's an extremely likeable human being, was VERY professional in his interaction with me, and I felt confident in allowing him to proceed with my surgical excision. He has a VERY calming tone of voice and works PERFECT with patients who are anxious about medical procedures. Thank you so much for making my experience a positive one!

LOVE the brand NEW facility on Seal Beach Blvd. in Seal Beach. Everyone is so helpful & pleasant. The doctors don't rush you & truly want to help. Thanks everyone I will be back.

Aubrey the dermatologist was incredibly nice , and a great listener. She was concerned about my acne and we both agreed on accutane.

It's difficult to adequately nor completely answer this question. What I experienced was the frightening breakdown of the healthcare system into an insurance driven profit "coding" machinery with the staff claiming to not know about billing, about access to medication, about symptoms and not even a visual although medical exam of the status of my lesions. Oh well, now to the pharmacy to see how much medical debt a retiree on Medicare and with an expensive supplemental insurance will have to incur. It may be the insurance company's "fault" but hello?! Hundreds of dollars for a medical visit and no information For the patient to digest as conditions get worse? It's such a scandal. Neo-liberalism at its most dog eat dog .
