List of Perry R. Koseff's Reviews
Absolutely awful customer service. I booked an appointment for a physical last month, no one ever sent me anything to confirm my appointment. Nor did they return my call the day of the appointment.
Dr. Perry Koseff. Bad doctor! He did not know me, my name or my conditions after 2 years. I was treated like a number. He did not give me any answers or solutions to my health care concerns, nor did he seem to be on top of my health issues. A primary care doctor is specifically there to guide the patient to prevent major health problems. He never remembered my conditions enough to do that. The most he wrote me to do was to go on a diet. The confusion is, I am neither heavy nor out of shape. So this seemed to be a generic answer to why my test result numbers were up. But he never reviewed them with me. He never even called me. I then had to research possible solutions on the internet. Once I decided he was not a good doctor for me, I told the front desk I was done. The ladies at the desk berated and yelled at me and embarrassed me in the office. They told me I was the problem and made excuses for office actions and policy. Never seen anything like it before. All I was trying to do at the end was get my final prescription corrected, which was already sent to Rite-Aid. Upon finding out I was leaving, the doctor blocked my prescription. Luckily, Rite-Aid saw the situation and filled it anyway. However the prescription had problems. The doctor messed up the number of pills. He got the doses wrong. Always making mistakes. The office acts as though they are doing the patient a favor and everything is the patient's fault. Rite-Aid attempted to contact the doctor to fix the prescription issue, but the doctor has so far ignored their request. All they seem to care about at Dr. Perry Koseff's office seems to be appointments. Avoid them if you are on critical medications as it seems they will cancel any ongoing prescriptions if you decide to leave. So, it looks as though they are spiteful.

Love this facility, but left the office without being seeing today. I arrived 15 early and was still waiting in the lobby a half hour after my appointment. Apparently they were behind due to an unforeseen procedure. I know this happens, but so frustrating when I have to carve time out of work to visit the doctor. If you can't see patients on the weekend please try to honor appointments and patients that have to make arrangements at work.
I've been a patient of Dr. Koseff for over 10 years. He used to be good, but the quality of care has declined horribly over the past 4 years. In my most recent visit, I went over all the medications for which I needed prescription refills. He said he would put them in. He botched the refills and only about half of them went through. I called back to get the rest done. I've been fighting to get his office to submit a prior authorization for one of he medications for for almost a month. They've dropped the ball repeatedly. I called today and spoke with Doctor Koseff. His response was "I just write prescriptions." I asked "So you don't care about your patients' wellness?" He replied "No. I only write prescriptions. It's between you and your insurance." His self-stated lack of care for his patients tells the whole story.
Dr. Koseff had been my Primary Physician since '84. He's been a great personal doctor. He's detected some serious issues, and, when needed, he's referred me to other great specialists. He has my complete trust.
Only reason I'm putting 2 is because I love the girls at the front desk but they also work with the other doctors. However I will never schedule anything with Dr. Koseff again. It's clear that he cares more about just getting you in and out of the office and doesn't care about your needs. He refused to answer questions during a physical that revolve around the rest of my health. Telling me I'd have to schedule another entire appointment. Again expressing like he didn't care and just wanted my money for another appointment. I know there are rules and limits but this is your patient. I have never felt so un-valued with a Doctor.
My husband recently experienced a nasty dog bite and while Dr. Koseff is wonderful, why did we have to drive all the way to downtown Long Beach for the Urgent Care; while we live in Alamitos Heights and our Urgent Care is much, much closer.Thank you.Mimsie

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
